UNP to join force with JVP, TNA?
Tuesday, 13 February 2007 - 5:21 AM SL Time

The UNP is to team up with other opposition parties in Parliament on certain issues in the future, party General Secretary Tissa Attanayake said yesterday.

Mr. Attanayake said the UNP would join force with other parties to voice against corruption, human rights violations, the soaring cost of living and the abductions of persons.

The UNP, JVP and the TNA are the major opposition parties in Parliament.

TNA Jaffna District Parliamentarian Mavai Senathirajah said they were yet to receive any invitation from the UNP for such a consensus.

`If we are invited, we will take a decision at our parliamentary group meeting,` he said.

As usual Mr Ranilchelvam will be decieved by our JVP sahodarayas very soon.

We could see Anizam's favorite Weeramonkey becoming the leader of the opposition and UNP idiots raising their hands to appoint him!

TNA will be taken for a ride and will be kicked aside when the official positions are sorted out.

Cheers

Their MoU with LTTE almost cost one third of the country.
Their MoU with Mahinda Maama cost them several high flying MPs of their party (including their fmr Dep. Leader)
Another MoU with JVP will hopefully cost them their opposition leadership.

Amidst all this Ranil can continue his studies on the peace process between Maoist Guerrillas and the Nepalese Government. Good on him.

SHAKTI,

It hurts isn't it. Next time, try to come up with better arguments. As already advised, desperation alone is not sufficient to mount a successful revenge attack. You got to have good facts, and of course, a brain to analyze those.

This 'kalakanniya booruwa' could not even win his own Hambanthota dist with out the JVP. He lost it TWICE in a row to Sajith pereme. Now he thinks he can get MY JVPs support and do as he wishes.

Sri Lanka Marxists organizing a massive rally to 'protect the people's mandate'
Monday, February 12, 2007, 13:53 GMT, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

Feb 12, Colombo: Sri Lanka's Marxist nationalist People's Liberation Front (JVP) is planning to launch a mass campaign against the government under the guise of correcting it, JVP sources said.

The JVP is organizing a mass rally, themed 'Government changing track. Let's protect the people's mandate' on 15th of February at Nugegoda in the outskirts of the Colombo city.

All the JVP leaders including Somawansa Amarasinghe, Tilvin Silva, Wimal Weerawansa, Anura Kumara Dissanayaka, and K. D. Lal Kantha are to address the rally.

JVP internal sources said that this kind of a rally was not held in recent years. JVP is reportedly organizing to bring a massive crowd to Colombo to show its mobilizing power in order to take a new turn in politics, party sources said.

Oh my god... you haven't given up your animosity towards Mottarala...Naughty Anizam!!

This 'kalakanniya booruwa' could not even win his own Hambanthota dist with out the JVP. He lost it TWICE in a row to Sajith pereme. Now he thinks he can get MY JVPs support and do as he wishes.

Doesn't that show the Kalakanni Booruwa is clever to USE JVP, UNP and even TNA???

its clear only to village idiots. Yes you can win for a year but look whats happening. With in one and a half years the very same people who brought him to power will kick him out. Or at least make it impossible for him and him brothers to rule and plunder! :) all with in a short period of just over year! :)
