Piyal,

If JVP remember their past, they will never join with UNP and TNA. Man-gala is digging his own grave with An-Ura.

JVP will never join either UNP or TNA if they do that will be the curtains of their party, so its no go zone.
Mangala and Anura perhaps could be the bosom buddies who knows; in their own politics its nothing new.

But I have serious doubts of all these talks. It doesn't make sense; I feel its all about paper stunts to boost their circulation than anything any important. These days any 'Pacha' can be too cheap. Bit like what our resident UNPer Anizam claims everything is on a plate of Punnakku so cannot see what is going on other than plate full of Punnakku.

TNA joing any Southern Party other than UPA is a definite 'No'

If anybody is hallucinating to the effect that the JVP will try to form an alliance to topple the Rajapaksha GOV, that would never materialize, in my opinion...

Why? the JVP has built its recent reputation among the southern communities strongly with the strict stance they had developed against the LTTE terrorism (as against the Rohana W doctrine)...

And MR, as the Pres and the head of GOV, has been doing what the JVP and JHU were demanding (against the LTTE) to perfection...

In this backdrop, the JVP cannot survive a post GOV-topple scenario against their very doctrine and face the voters with a giulty conscious heart in betraying their own strategies...

Therefore, even if certain alliances would be made, there will never be any JVP supported gov-toppling as far as MR keeps on his tracks to rout the LTTE....

and, furthermore, there is speculation that MR is re-considering abolishing the CFA shortly...

If that is done, the JVP will lose their last trumph card against MR....

and if that happens, the JVP will have no other option than supporting MR in his proceedings...

And that in fact will be the largest alliance SL has ever seen....

no, this is rubbish, TNA joining these parties?

There is no such thing as NO in politics.

TNA has only puppets. They are not allowed to even go to the toilet without Velu's permission. Who are you kidding?

There is a certain amount of truth to this statement. So if TNA knows what is good for their health they wont eat what ever is fed.
On the other hand if LTTE's objective is -removed- MR then he might give TNA the green light. After all there is nothing to lose. Other parties might loose vote for joining the Tamils but TNA/LTTE is well established in its own area.

Who said Mangala & JVP are the most patriot i the world!!

The same people who say:
Over three hundred dead policemen = Karuna = Favorite adopted Son of the Sinhala SL.

I do hope they destablise the country...and bring it to its knees.

If that is what you want: you already got it. If a considerable amount of foreign aid is cut off then it will be on its as-.
Still would advice you to watch what you wish for.

Siva,

Why are there so many deals being made in the halls of politics these days? Everyone trying to jump into bed with the other ... I do not see any benifit for the common man.

You're asking the question from the wrong man. I am in search for the answers too. I cannot see any unity among any politician these days. Its a power loony country full of corrupt politicians licking for money. I have no sympathy bud. But one has to accept these when the bank balance gets bellyful day in day out for plenty of consignments.

Btw, yes, I am in Europe, heading to bed buddy. Enjoy the 37' LCD TV, don't worry about the external issues.
One thing is for sure whether its Pirapa or Mahinda both crave for power. One is elected by the skin of the teeth whereas the other is a fascist who believe he's the leader. The difference is you and me who take the mickey out of this situation :)

Good night bud!!
