Pathetic state of LTTE controlled regions-a Humanitarian Disaster

Fortunately all the Tamils in the south and central enjoy a much higher standard of living. They have very successful businesses that has made them the richest in the country. Tamil people in the south enjoy a way of life that is unimaginable in the north with Jobs and education.
Unfortunately in the LTTE controlled regions Tamils are prevented from having jobs, education and freedom of movement. They are constantly harassed by LTTE for petty issues such as sitting, standing the wrong way. People in LTTE controlled regions don`t have enough food because LTTE steals their grains. Children are not allowed to continue education and they are constantly harassed to join the movement.
Medication sent to the hospital end up in LTTE camps, people are suffering. They don`t have enough medication because LTTE uses all the funds collected to buy weapons. In the mean time LTTE leaders children live a life of luxury in Norway-UK-Ireland-USA.
LTTE controlled regions are such a pathetic mess with people yearning to move down to the south. DPU units that constantly visit and collect Intel in LTTE regions report of LTTE atrocities that we only see in countries such as Iraq or Congo.
this is the sad state of Tamils who live in LTTE region. No wonder more than 85% of Tamil population has refused LTTE regions and have moved down to the south. |
