JRJ,

I thought this vimukthi in this forum is a Tamil. So I can not link him with the movie director.

I have not seen this movie 'Sulanga Enu Pinisa' but have heard lots of negative and positive comments about it.

Artists being anti war is not a negative aspect. What matters is in what perspective they use the material to create a piece of art. One using the cinema as work of creativity has a vast length of canvass to draw his picture than a painter or a musician. It is not a secret that they use the media of cinema to promote what the sponsors want them to do when they do not have the financial freedom to make their own movies.

Fahrenheit 9/11 was also such a movie, entered in to Cannes film festival in the category of Documentary, winning the best picture. Quentin Torentino who was the president of the jury at the festival moved it to the feature film category since it was a fiction but not a documentary which should depict facts but not manipulation by editing to appear as a documentary. Then he promoted it within the jury to give it the best picture as most of the artists are anti war. Quentin Torontino for instance had never made a movie without violence to the ultimate extreme unreality, but anti war .

tamils dont get to live peacefully the sinhalese can forget about living peacefully! what goes around comes around!

Who is suffering Tamils or Singhales by starting a war in 1983 against Singhalese?

What goes around comes around. Exactly. Racist 50:50 demand, then the racist objection of Singhalese coming to so called Tamil areas for cultivation in 1954 all came back with interest.

Now when a Sinhala will kill a man, Magha will suggest that he was a LTTE brainwashed !

It's where your racism will bring you Magha !

Very convenient my friend to miscalculate instead of misquoting. If it was 1956 then it is not close to 25 years but close to 30 years. How about 1954? Did n't we have unrest , ethnic riots then?

It is also convenient to forget a part of History too.

Magha,

can you shed some light about 1954.
If it was 1956 then it is not close to 25 years but close to 30 years.

25 yrs or 30 yrs thats not important. you have conveniently avoided the issue I brought up. war for you might mean guns and bullets but i am including state sponsored thugs with machetes/sticks and whatever they can get their hands on.
