Not the question of govt can't. Govt don't want to fight alone. Govt is fighting with the help of the people. Where do you think all the intelligence is coming from. More than half of the govt's Intelligence network is made of tamils. Least where I come from, if you have not notice, LTTE not popular at all. People will be more than happy to give information about LTTE activities. |

divide and conquor is nothign new. and yes we are aware of it. some folks can be bought!! the difference is that the support in the SOUTH for the LTTE isnt known outside. yes they might not believe in what the LTTE does but who cares. show the $$ and everyone is happy.
The LTTE is starving without funds from TRO and A9. They don't even have money to buy bullets.
We will soon start the real war and finish off the LTTE. That's the ground reality.
you do have a very imaginative friend. he/she should try journalism, would fit right in. i hear lanka school of journalism is one of the best.
Now that 22nd of feb 2007 marks 5 years to the CFA and that didn't materialise to any point it will be nullified too.
care to elaborate on this and what is going to be nullified.

I have to agree on both of you. The war is not on internet or in UN. Its in the battlefield. It is also known that most of the soldiers are given enough to do own their own and that means human rights questions are lipped. Many who support in the south are also known e.g. Maharaja and many of the Seastreet etc.
In a way we know what happened in 89 and that is exactly happening in NE now. Perhaps Gotabhaya, Sarath F and Mahinda are running a different Oprah Wifrey show there.
