Statistics show a gradual increase of LTTE surrendees from the East. One of the reasons behind this trend is the presence of the Security Forces in the East. Almost all LTTE surrendees have said that they trust the Security Forces. The presence of the Security Forces has minimized the chances of their families being harassed by the LTTE.

oh yes they are. since GOSL uses paras i think its quite correct saying the GOSl cant fight this war alone! lol! |

bro, the issue here is not the fight with the LTTE but because they are at a guerrilla fight that makes some effort to beat the crap out of it. Remember this is hide and seek, not man to man as in a conventional war!

LTTE was a guerilla movement not anymore. It has conventional fighting capabilities. thats the only way one can HOLD territory unless the defacto state is a myth then eh. ok!
Damn right A95. chances of winning next to nothing so why not eh!

It is sad to see that Mahinda the Sinhala Terrorist want to terrorize their own Sinhalas fooling them and cutting the tongue of journalists ! What he did to Taraki is been done on Sinhalas !
But what surprise me more is that oversea Sinhalas are so blind and stupid for most of them, they still didn't really realized what band of craps are ruling their 'original' country.
MR the terrorist arrested a lot of journalists, Sinhalas or Tamils. What affects him is Truth. |

that we had Ranjan Wijerathne I am not sure about a similar one this time.
well we can not replce Ranajn Wijerathena. but we have police officers like Kotagadeniya to fill the holes.
just to name a few, former officer IC of Panadura, Walana police station and head of the crminial invest. unit at Peliyagoda police.. i can't recall their names. they have showed enough talets in the past.
we have right poeple to do the job but we need the right leadership. |

It will slowly lose its status calling the de facto state, 'cos you know very well, Vaharai was one of the tops before it was taken over by the forces so was Sampoor. Do I need any more to say?
I am sure the key issue is how Mahinda going to address the elimination of tigers subsequent to the power devolution. The IC is quiet as long as there is power devolution and the headache of elimination of terrorism has to be implemented with care and this means the leftwing JVP has to be careful not to spoil the soup. Now that 22nd of feb 2007 marks 5 years to the CFA and that didn't materialise to any point it will be nullified too.
