A former journalist with the leftist Hiru paper, Lalith Seneviratne, was abducted at his home Monday night. Meanwhile, a trade union activist and editor of the monthly Akuna (Thunder), Sisira Priyankara, was reported missing from his work at an electrical workshop and another activist Nihal Serasinghe, who worked with the monthly was also abducted Monday evening.

I just surprised to see this news was published by Tamilnet. Now the truth is revealed. Those are LTTE Sinhala Terrorist. Government must give capital punishment to those people.

Ruwani,

At least on this occasion there will be no Human rights organizations shouting thier breath out

Whether its tamils or sinhalese, terrorists and their supporters must be inflicted maximum punishment and that is probably to deal with that those of the Ranjan Wijeratne style.

Human rights of any other rights who try to cover up terrorism must not be let loose.

What do you say?

well, what i have posted is actually the REAL EVENT that took place in sea and NEWS given by the GoSL defense , its a good example to get the TRUE STORY .

in case , if you missed it .
But a statement to the Police by the Captain of the container vessel, The Sunday Times learnt, contradicts the Navy version. He had said that he did not see any dinghies being destroyed.

Rameshkumar had denied when questioned by TID detectives that he told the Navy the trio had been issued with automatic weapons. This was after claim by a Navy official that Rameshkumar had admitted that he received weapons from the LTTE for the attack.

Hi JRJ ayya,
Yes, I agree with you. Regardless of who they are the punishment should follow the Ranjan/Udugampola/Punchinilame style.

Especially, if they are sinhalese the punishment should be more severe. Much like the 'Thrima Vithane' style.

Have you heard of the Thrima Vithane case?

Main culprit sounds like Vimukthi.

If not they should certainly track Vimukthi and put him under surveillance since this groups has a Canadian funding connection.

Anizam had a question about the newspaper. Here is the answer.

Among those three arrested journalists are Lalith Seneviratne of 'Akuna' which is an official paper of a train services trade union while Sisira Priyankara and Nihal Senasinghe are also employers of the same news paper.

I thought this trade union is controlled by JVP. I was wrong.
