I know there will be `Hartal` at LNP when I say this. But more monies for the MPs mean more investments by them. At least unlike many traitors here they won`t leave the country and take thier money with them. |

It is the funniest analogy I ever have heard in my life!
Suppose, MPs receive more monies in the form of salary and perks and then they will skim off the top of each project they are involved in. What will happen after that? They will buy car, houses and lands which are in fact not investments - just accumulating wealth!
Here then, Ruwani have certified those morons to be more crooks! |

Stop getting personal and speak the facts. Let me tell you this very carefully. One of my uncles was a former MP of the Premadasa government. I don't like his policies since I don't like RP. But he helped us immensely to develop our business and factory. Today how many jobs have we created? How many mouths are we feeding? |

sri lanka is a country of 20 odd million people. it needs more than a two bit tyre factory that needed political patronage to develop to feed it's people. pray tell me how many people do your 'factory' feed?

yes dont get personal. sri lanka is not your insignificant family or your factory. it has more important things that concerns it's citizens. |

I would like to point out something as a fellow LNP member: Accept it or reject it, it's your call.
It's very unfortunate to see how people comment on you based on your posts & personal space.
You are NOT the ONLY rich & pretty one in this forum. There are many people who live in the high end life style, but they don't kiss & tell. There are many people who have direct connections with a lot of rich & famous people. This is not the space to show up who you are, but what you are made of.
Your middle name 'Dahami' doesn't mean anything to me, as your character in the LNP doesn't show any dahami manners. your postings are filled with sarcasm, bragging & sometimes jealousy.
As human beings, we should be able to live our life with helping others to uplift their lives to what we have from what they don't have. I appreciate your comments on Premadasa, but there also you were boasting about your factory. I don't know how many lives are benefited by your 'direct' involvement, however, opening a factory and giving jobs to the people is not something you do for charity. You live this life because of blood & sweat of those poor people.
Let me tell you about my self. This is not for bragging or to get attention, but to show you how we are brought up by our parents.
My whole family lives here, & we had a reason to come here, it's not that Sri Lanka is a bad or a country that is difficult live. If we were in Sri Lanka we would've been dead. For our lives, we had to come here. I am so sorry to see your comment,

You don't know that the amount of money is sent to Sri Lanka by immigrant workers. They are not traitors, they might not have a good enough jobs for their qualifications. Let me ask one question. Can you find a reasonable job for a Ph.D. holder in Medical Sciences in Sri Lanka with a reasonable salary for his qualifications ?
Even though we are not immigrant workers, we have established a charity to help poor children in Sri Lanka, and there are 25 students do their higher studies benefited from our charity, and 10 of them are medical students. We are planning to increase the number to 100 by the end of 2009. One day one of them will treat your Rich family members, be careful, they were poor.
We pump over $ 4000 every month to Sri Lanka just for that charity, it's a family driven foundation and I am one of the executive directors. The account is in the Sampath Bank.
We support several families through one of our uncle's contacts to live a better life. These are charities, not profitable investments. We could have taken shares here or invested in our ranch, but there are things we get pleasure than collecting money & wealth.
You are not the only rich and famous in this forum. You are just one frog in a deep well, there is a huge world outside, and there are a lot interesting characters living.
Be sensible, reasonable & GOOD Sri Lankan. |
