Talk to LTTE: TNA tells President

TNA parliamentarian MK Sivajilingam told BBC Sandeshaya that Mahinda Rajapaksa should restart talks with Tamil Tigers if he is genuine in his efforts to end the bloodshed.
`We were given a mandate to regard the LTTE as sole representatives of the Tamils,` he said.
Addressing the nation on Independence Day at Galle Face Green, President Rajapaksa invited TNA to attend All Party Conference (APC).
There is n no other way than join hands with his administration to `safeguard Tamils from terrorism and violence and liberate Tamils in the north`, he said.
The TNA says it views the invitation as suspicious.
`We are suspicious as to why the President who did not invite us to APC saying he wanted get southern consensus now asking for our help,` Sivajilingam told bbcsinhala.com.
President urged the TNA to help `liberate Tamils` from terrorism and violence.
The TNA legislator says the government must first put an end to what he called `state terrortism`.
President Rajapaksa should also try to explore a federal devolution model as a first step towards ending violence, he added.
Sivajilingam however expressed doubts whether Rajapaksa administration support a federal solution.

Let me rephrase it: 'talk to my boss, we dont have the authority to speak behalf of the Tamils'
so much for a bunch of spineless people. Well after LTTE mass murders thousands of Tamils and commits genocide against its people as in the likes of Pol Pot how can these people develop a spine? |

This is hilarious...
The TNA comes to parliament saying that they are the elected members and then when they are thrown the opportunity to discuss the problems in an APRC, they say,
GO TALK TO THE LTTE!!
Just pathetic! Why are they even in the parliament!!
and how true this is..

The TNA is scared sh** that Pirapaha will kill them if they agree to any democracy.....

Why not make a more genuine offer to TNA... offer TNA post of Prime Minister..., better yet, a portfolio for defense... then we can have serious discussions!

At least he is out in the open..
And Pirapaha the Terrorist Leader fears even to come out to deliver his maaveer or help the tsunami victims in the nort and the east.....and is uttering hot air in his hot bunker..fearing the SLAF fighter crafts in his own territory..and MR toured Vakare and Sampur...
This would have hurt the LTTE diaspora more than the SLA triumph would have..
And TNA to be prime minister...
Well, donkeys would have to fly first...

If VP is surrounded by warships, fighter jets, and 3500 army, he would go anywhere in SL and would any talk he would like, including Maaveera ...
And TNA to be prime minister...
I am talking about serious talk man! If MR, or any Sinhala politician for that matter, is serious, offer TNA a meaningful portfolio -- Prime Minister, Minister of Defense.
Afterall, LTTE has many people with proven records to protect territory... !

Why don't MR talk direct to VP.
When this happens then we will know who has a spine.
The Tamils have herd all the crap from every President and they are fedup with all the lies they have been told.
If MR is serious and wants peace then he should talk direct to VP. ' If he has the guts'.....
TNA is too smart for MR's tricks. I think we all know that this is something that will not happen.
MR is just putting on a show for the IC for the AID that was promised and if there was no peace then there is no $
