I was in school that day. We heard a low rumble. We said it was 'probably thunder or a bomb' and went back to our work. About an hour later our parents came and took everyone home. Interesting day, looking back on it. |

| I was supposed to go to Ceylinco that day but got delayed by 15 mins. Bomb went off when I was in front of the Taj. Had i gone on time I woulld have got caught. When the lTTE blew up the Western privincial office in INdependence Square i just drove past and my windscreen cracked. Major headache for 3 days. When th bloody LTTE attacked blocked traffic in front of what is now MacDonald junction I was near the Borella colo lights. So yes, I know what i Talk about when I put down my thoughts on the LTTE more than anyone else. |

The bomb that killed General Parami in Pannipitiya also went off no more than half a mile from my parents' house. They thought the house was collapsing! I was in Australia at the time. |
