UNP chairman, Rukman Senananayake, publicly tore the 'historic' MoU into pieces on Sunday after Rajapaksa accepted UNP dissidents.

If sinhala parties cannot hold the MoU even for one year, How one could expect that sinhala parties reach an agreement with Tamil people and hold? Political solution is impossible. History (from 1948) also tells this.

I know it will be hard for the sinhala people to see VP in Parliament lolz..but sometimes you have to give and take for the sake of Peace..

Berty; this may never happen the way Sinhala governments have been behaving since independence... unless a solution is foced upon them by LTTE through militery might!

COLOMBO (Reuters) - Seismic data shows more than 1.0 billion barrels of oil lie under the sea off Sri Lanka's northwest coast, the island's petroleum minister said on Friday, adding exploration bids would be called in early April.

If proven, such a find would be a major boost for a land which produces no crude oil of its own and must import all of its needs to the tune of between $1.0 billion to $2.0 billion a year -- which in turn hammers the island's budget deficit.

'There are more than 1.0 billion barrels,' Petroleum and Petroleum Resources Development Minister A.H.M. Fowzie told Reuters in a telephone interview. 'We are already making arrangements to call for bids ... in early April.'

Fowzie said eight blocks would be licenced, with China and India promised one each.

I thought Fowzie was a good muslim... but, he has been corrupted by MR... recently he has mastered lying into an art by learning from Sinhala politicians...

If there is any oil in there, they are mostly in Tamil territory.... there will be more wars over oil if it every exists!

The difference LTTE has taken a path of no return....Maoists did not.

LTTE has no interest in solving the ethnic problem. they exist as long as there is an ethnic problem. They have a vested interest in bring immense pain and suffering to the Tamil people. Because that is the only way Tamil people of sri lanka will suffer in these modern days.

With LTTE there is no HOPE. when there is no HOPE there is no future. LTTE cant give a future to the Tamils.

The Tamil eelam of sri lanka-(name of the north+east provinces) will be given when sri lanka government and its people feel fully confident of an intact sri lanka.

Until then there is no hope..and LTTE will keep fighting and losing every right other Tamils have given their lives for!

Anihiliate LTTE ! . Bomb until Big Fat Bunker Rat Dies .. Don't share anything with LTTE . Killing and Bombing is the only language these Barbrians understand .

Does not wok pal! IC, India are waiting till you start bombing Wanni... your govt promised to come up with a 'dovolution package in two weeks' (that was abot two months ago) but never delivered anything... India just asked to produce a 'credible plan' to the Tamil problem.

If GOSL does not come up with a credible plan and start bombing IC will force upon a plan, just like what happened in Kosovo! Then Sinhala politicians will bite the dust!

It is stupid ask and stupid to talkabout 'devolution' packages in governing a country. Only the people who don't know politics or who are not interested in democratic politics would talk those words.

NAPAL - MAOists involved in governing the country. Then, once they are in the govt. they could decide what is possible and what is not possible.

Velu while living in a deep bunker and Diaspora while living overseas talk about Devolution.

How it is possible ?.

It seems Bogollagama know how to play the game...

To the world at large, GOSL is FULLY dedicated to PEACE at any cost.

At home 'Cost' means LTTE lives and asserts!

Cheers
