I don't think army chief should say those words to reporters. It is disadvantageous to SL in the international scene. This BBC article will not go in GOSL favor.
I'm positive that General Fonseka wouldn't have used that sort of a blunt expression.... he must've said that in a different way..... He is a General who is leading more than one hundred thousand battle hardened men including well educated brilliant officers....
This 'WILL KILL THOUSANDS' caption had surely been chosen by who ever who published it.... to discredit the General.... There is nothing to be surprised about.... when this is coming from BBC....!

Army chief made this statement just to boost the morale of the forces which is going down and down, he has got to stop the forces who are on the run to Ruhunu, battle climate in Wanni is totally different to the East.
