`Will kill thousands` Sri Lanka Army chief
Monday, 31 December 2007 - 12:49 PM SL Time

The head of the Sri Lankan army says the military aims to kill three thousand Tamil Tiger rebels over the next six months.

The Army Commander, General Sarath Fonseka, told the state-run newspaper Sunday Observer that the military had set itself the target of killing at least ten rebels a day.

The statement came as the ministry of defence reported that thirty-three rebels died in a battle in northern Sri Lanka over the weekend.

However, the Tigers denied this, saying they had killed at least twenty soldiers. There`s no independent confirmation of any of the figures.

The enemy are brainwashed to believe that death=liberation hence the SL Army are merely facilitating their 'liberation'.

18,000-20,000 LTTE dead are very very large numbers for a guerrilla force. It works out to close to a 1:1 ratio which a very high ratio of losses by guerrilla forces.

Those who wield the sword can expect to die by the sword.

Just hope this utterly insane war would be over swiftly.

brainwashed...but who. May be the srilankans are brainwashed to beleive that army is killing approx 10 LTTE a day. Bombing accurately atleast one LTTE militry complex a week. Destroying 20 boats in a sea battle.....etc.

After downing a couple of Gul everything is possible.

10 x 30 x 6 = 1800 = won the war?
And the LTTE will be keeping quiet all that time.......no?

It is time for the LTTE to blow up something , looks like the SLA is starting to wag its dirty tail again.
Another right blow in the right place will make em run again with their tails between their legs again.
Looks like LTTE has to give regular dosed of its medicine to keep the Sinhalese dogs well behaved.
