| My sympathies go out to the family, to Pakistan, to South Asia in general. Another person who could have potentially set our region in the path it should take has been snuffed out by fundamental extremists. They exist even in our Sri Lanka, and may wear different uniforms, preach a different gospel but will ultimately lead our region into deeper chaos than it's already in. sad... |

Why did Musharaf reject the DPU unit that MR sent? Dont tell me even the Pakis rejected the well trained DPU sent by MR. So what is going to happen to the military aid?

There is nothing to say that this was a suicide attack it could have been a explosive planted on the way like DPU does in the N/E. Or it could be a JVP copy that they did at Nugegoda.

| Jinadasa, not just our LTTE, our MR's, CBK's, Ranils and even that joker Mervin who goes off and attacks the media. Nut-jobs like these are all destroying our country when we could be enjoying the same sort of prosperity as Singapore, and if we had more determined ppl like Bhutto in South Asia, I believe we could be as...'professional'...as the EU. look at us, we're an embarrassment to our ancestors, to the religions we claim to uphold and revere and ourselves. I may be young and i may not live in Sri Lanka anymore, but these petty differences we seem to have whether it be ideology or race or who gets to play in what side of the sand box, should not escalate to the level where ppl lose their lives. She was no saint, (corruption charges, initial support of the Taliban, not doing crap for women in Pakistan, etc.) but i had hope that she would actually do something this time around. |
