| Kural DUDE . i have a question.. as a very educated person and a scientist you could be able to answer. So in india tamils claim they have a population of 60 million . so how long have your decendents living their? . why couldnt they claim the south india as their homeland .. ?? |

Dont corrupt the facts.. There are 300k Tamils in Colombo, and maximun 100k outside Colombo and in South.
Yes, within the Colombo city limits there are less than 300k however if you include greater Colombo the numbers are much higher.
What is the Northern-Eastern Tamil population for you ? Just curious.
There are about 1M Tamils (of course the exact number living under ltte terror occupation is unknown maybe about 300k-500k) in the North and the East while Indian origin Tamils (living mostly in the central parts) number about 1M too. If only the ltte terrorists had allowed the census in areas under their occupation/siege we would have a more exact figure.... |

Tamils have a history going far to 10000BC.
Tamils in India are not Tamils in Sri Lanka first. India is a proud Federation, Sri Lanka is a Failed State. And they are living in their own federal STATE called Tamil Nadu (Tamil country).
India recognized Tamil as a classical language along with Sanskrit.
Tamils in India are not threated like 3 grade citizen as in SL.
TN is the 2 most industrialized state in India, there is no need for Tamils in India to ask a seperate state, thats a big difference. Sri LAnka is a failed parriah state.

hak hak where did you got these stats? from tamil net? 10000 BC is 12,000 years ago hak hak ... i guess tamils were using mammoth to do the tranportations .. hik.. tamil refugees like you can make these comedy really well..
