We all once hunger for those breads. There were jummy and tasty. Still brings best memories of bread stories. I still remember been in the queue from early as 4.00 am for just one loaf of bread piece !!
Sadly prices gone up to the sky and quality down to the earth. Manual bakeries become, modern ovens and crispy taste become chemical mixer.
But there are families still depends on bread for their all 3 meals per day. Infact bread is our national icon !

The President?s dubious conduct of dismissing the Sri Lankan Airline CEO Peter Hill by canceling his work permit for not facilitating his entourage to the UK with his 35 odd bandwagon to attend a private function of his son is now compared with the action he had taken to retain his thuggish Minister of Labour Mervyn Silva until his inquiry findings are known.
The brute Minister?s conduct at the Rupavahini TV station is well evidenced and only action required is immediate sacking of the Minister and then conduct an inquiry. But the President has decided to play his standard drag his feet game by not sacking the Minister immediately.
The President did not follow the same procedure when he dealt with the CEO Peter Hill. His determination to get rid of the CEO instantly without waiting for the inquiry findings reveals his selective approaches to matters that involve him personally.
Both events confirm the President?s ludicrous dealings and his judgmental capacity as the leader of the nation.
Within his two years term in office, the President has appointed many committees to investigate and so far none seems to have come out with their report or even presumably the reports may have been kept hush-hush somewhere.
The prominent of the inquiry is about the public display of the nude bodies of the Tamil Tiger suicide cadres few months ago. These cadres carried out a daring dawn raid at the Anuradhapura Air force base. The two inquiries carried out on this sordid affair have been silently put aside by the government.
It is believed the inquiry ordered by the President against the gangster Minister is to take the immediate heat out of the public and to facilitate the gangster Minister to remain in office indefinitely.

Some Singhalas like Pera and Magha are really lost cases, the trust to be superior to everyone and believe that everything bad on this world is made by Tamils.
