Karuna spills the beans in Britain
Wednesday, 19 December 2007 - 3:36 AM SL Time

By Nirmala Kannangara

The UNP yesterday claimed that LTTE renegade leader Karuna Amman had revealed to the British authorities the exact ground situation prevailing in the east, which was totally different to that projected by the Government.

UNP parliamentarian Lakshman Kiriella at a media briefing held in Colombo said Karuna had revealed the accurate details of the ground situation in the eastern province to the British authorities and that it ran counter to government`s claims adding the details revealed would give the government a bad image internationally.

`It is learnt that Karuna Amman had revealed the exact ground situation to the British authorities and it would bring adverse consequences to the administration,` added Kiriella.

Kiriella asked as to what action the British authorities would take in regard to the diplomatic passport and the forged visa documentations issued to Karuna Amman by the government of Sri Lanka, and added that it too would tarnish the country`s image.

According to Kiriella there are possibilities that the Sri Lankan diplomatic passport would not get the due recognition in future.

`A diplomatic passport is issued by the Foreign Affairs Ministry on the recommendation of the Defence Ministry. If the Sri Lankan Defence Ministry are charged with such unprofessional conduct then the foreign countries would think twice about the authenticity of our diplomatic passports in future,` alleged Kiriella.

I don't think Karuna has spilled the beans yet. But he will with time because it would be better for him to be in prison in a foreign country where his family can visit than been in SL where his life will be at risk from his own deputy and others. I don't think he has any friends in SL.

This is the reason I put the pic of Charles Taylor, one time President and strongman of Liberia and now charged for war crimes. When Karuna starts to talk many people will not be able to leave the shoes of SL. They will always have to watch their back.

After all Sri Lanka could turn to be a interesting place in history.

what goes around comes around. lets hope Karuna spills EVERYTHING! ans i am sure he will do because his survival depends on it!

Former Liberian President Charles Taylor disembarked from a Nigerian plane at an airport in Monrovia, Liberia, after being captured trying to flee Nigeria on Wednesday.

Karuna may reveal all the people who are involved with the abductions.
Many will be implicated in GOSL.

That is where the major problems will start. The brain behind the white vans. Kidnapping minors for TMVP from govt controlled areas under heavy occupation of STF and SLA.

They will still be safe traveling to US but going to Europe and Asian countries will be a risk.
