Even British High Commissioner in Sri Lanka stated realy good things during D S Senanayake memorial speach....which Weerawansa finds it difficult to digest and barking like a mad dog in Parliament yesterday....looking pathetic aney

Even in a district level MP - candidates should be selected on their popularity and not because they come and lick the Party leader.

Right now all the MPs and ministers are there for bribes and perks.

Good, but this proves that politicians are not inclined to solve the problem of ethnic divide in the country. they care only for their votes.same with every south asian country.

Popularity or Principles? Does popularity necessarily mean principles? Is it selection or election? If selection, who does it? How is the person/s doing the selection determined?

It has to be from grass roots and not because of the rice packet, money. a shirt and the cap.
