Small country like sri lanka needs a powerful army with really high tech weapons. This is another way to keep the country independent and stable when your back door neighbor is a looser (India). If we have a powerful army we can win respect from Maldives, Nepal, Burma, china Pakistan and India as well. This will bring more UN jobs for soldires once we iradicate three decade long war with Tiger rats.
We will make a new sri lanka with sinhala nation.

Portugese, Dutch and British emancipated Sri Lankans against their wish. After they left Sinhala colonialists are emancipating Tamils and Muslims, again, against their wishes. First consult the people as to what they want rather than impose on them what Sinahalas want.
Occupying their areas with brutal army for the last 12 years and subjecting them to submission with fear craeted by abductions, killings and rape will never work.
SL army went to Haiti as a UN force and 108 of them were found to have committed criminal sexual offences on underage girls. How can you allow such perverts to be among the civilians without any monitoring by UN or their own elected representatives? It can only happen in Sri Lanka, Darfur Sudan, Iraq and Afghanistan. |
