For us tamils sinhala politics is a sideshow. All we are bothered about is how we can exploit the sinhala politicians' weaknesses to our advantage.Do we care if the country goes down the plughole? We do not, because your politicians are responsible for it.
I guess you are exploiting that for last 25 years or so and after 25 years, what is left from dream Ealam is two districts which are getting hammered everyday. Keep dreaming my friend, keep dreaming..

Real winner is the Ranil in this budget.He proved that JVP is fooling the people.We know upto now Percy govt has not done any good to SL.that is why they are scared for an election.Percy govt will continue to create a living hell with high COL & bloody bombs on civillians.People will now blame both percy & jvp for their misery.Next election will be a real disaster to both percy & jvp while UNP is getting maximum benefits.
I thought only Ealam lovers dream but it seems like UNP/P. Ranil lover also is dreaming.
Everybody with some brain knew that JVP is not going to topple government. Ranil and the gang were stupid enough to boast that they are to topple the government. What a shame and now they blame JVP for that. Bunch of idiots... |

Next election will be a real disaster to both percy & jvp while UNP is getting maximum benefits.

If all these LTTE supporters are so happy that the Govt is not defeated, why was VPee and the UNP going all the way to defeat the budget? It's hard to accept the fact that it's a heavy blow to LTTE terrorism now. The govt is now gonna destroy the terror lords and all some guys can do is talk of Jayasikuru to satisfy themselves. That mistake would never be made again. It's the DPUs in small groups that go to Wanni now and wreck havoc. They are supported by SLAF sorties. So if anyone is waiting for the troops to walk into Wanni, that'll only be after the thugs are brought down and unable to fight any more. |

where do you live man? go to sl and see... so many developments. from the airport to high-rise apartment/condo constructions... colombo looks like a very developed city... east is free.. so many factories opening.. infrastructure development. agriculture rising. tea eastate workers getting houeses, schools, roads.. freeways are building.. new ports, airports and power plants are rising..
what r you talking about' this government has done nothing'... this government is doing all it can with the high rising oil prices and a war to fight... this is the best govenment we had after the independence.. |

| Why should Percy go for an election when he was given the mandate to lead the country for four years. It's the UNPee and VPee who wants election to try their luck. Even if there'll be an election, the govt. would be voted back to power. |

What's wrong with you man? Why you need an election now? Do you want to stop the war and give breather to LTTE and sacrifice our soldiers again as our leaders in the past did over and over again. What good election would do when you have Ranil as your leader. He is going to loose it anyway.
What we need is to defeat LTTE then Ranil can have power. Remember, Sri Lankans have very short memory. Once terrorism is defeated, UNP will have upper hand because of it's superior handling of the economy. I don't understand how dumb you people are..... |

| Greatest this government done is to screw LTTE and their foreign catchers. People, specially those in country areas don't want anything else. We don't wany any development with P'akaran holding gun to our head. |
