All SINHALA RACISTS
These fellows are 5% of the population but wants every thing under the sun.
They are 5% here but more than 50 countries in the world are theirs with many of them awash with oil. They also form something like 20% of the world's population.
The Sinhalese may be about 80% here but this is the only country they can call their own and form just about .025% of the world's population.
Don't forget the proud Sinhalese depend on the petro dollar remittances from the Muslim countries for survival and these countries provide hundreds of millions of dollars in aid and soft loans every year for SL.
Also the oil SL imports from the Gulf is at below market prices
Didn't the leader of the proud Sinhalese visit Iran recently and get 1.5 billion dollars in aid?
You guys get so much from the Muslim countries and then want to humiliate their brotheren here. Don't think they are not watching you.
You push the Muslims here too much and you know what can happen. Don't forget the IC is not too happy with you now. It is only Muslim countries like the Gulf countries, Iran and Pakistan are friendly with you and are willing to help you.
If you cannot learn any thing at least learn which side of your bread is buttered |

Mucha,
Thanks for giving me a chance to clarify further.
Hakeem has two kinds of demands.
1. Public Demands:
The so called Land issue of the Muslims which Hakeem suddenly started talking about falls in to this category.
2. Private Under the table demands:
The TRC issue falls into this category.
President Mahinda will only implement any legitimate public demands made by Hakeem. Govt. has already taken action on this land issue and it is actually a Non-issue at the moment.
President Mahinda will NEVER implement Hakeem's Trecherous Private/Under the table Demands.
Several of Hakeem's MP's are with the Mahinda Rajapaksa Administration. Hakeem will look like a big fool if he votes against the Govt. in the 3rd reading of the budget ater having voted for the Govt. during the 2nd reading.
Hakeem is making a Mockery of the Muslim Community and the Muslim people will Rise against Hakeem at the right time.

| These useless punakku political parties are driving the country into point of no return. Come on morons, it is about time you guys start supporting the current government (whatever it may be) at this time of crisis, by setting aside all your political differences and selfish political gains. We are sick of these monkeys who are jumping from one party to another. When Sinhalayas themselves are divided into 10000 parties, what can we ask from Muslims and other minority punakku parties? When everything is said and done, our poor people will pay the price dearly. This is a failed bloody state that will never learn. |

GAMIYA,
Thanks for the clarification (actually, I was bit sarcastic).
My opinion about MR remained unchanged since he was nominated as the presidential candidate of SLFP.
I expect only one thing from him which is weakening all forms of Tamil Racism, if not wiping it off from the surface of our motherland. As long as he travels on a path leading to that, he will have my support. If he can achieve any other things that are beneficial to the people during that course, I would treat that as a bonus.

I know they have many different candidates with different view points running for US presidency. But, at time of crisis they try to find a common solution most of the time. Example, after 911, all parties supported and came to an agreement and they bombed the hell out of Afghanistan. I know there were other reasons behind it too. But atleast they supported Mr. Bush at that time of crisis. In our case, it is an impossible task. Different view points are good and should be encouraged, but only to a certain extent. Not in a time of crisis like this. |

The first Muslim political party, the SLMC, came into being in the 1980s which is about 40 years after independence. That they should decide to go their separate way to win their rights is testimony to the failure of the major political parties to properly address their concerns. |
