Rajapakse's govt uses different forms of threat to Tamil and Muslim MPs. Pillaiyan, the successor of Kokila Gunawardene, is asked to threaten Tamil MPs from voting (against) on the Budget whereas Muslim MPs belong to SLMC are withdrawn the security Personnel.

The security of SLMC Leader Rauff Hakeem and the other three members who crossed over was withdrawn a few hours ago, except for two policemen. |

My hunch is that JVP will vote against the Budget for two reasons
Oh yes!
1. For survival
2. To save face with it's supporters.
Always the same.Let it be JVP or LTTE, they are the same!
The want to come to power with violence and not with words!They will kill their own to take power.
The party that gave JVP the right to be a legal political
party should be sued! |

My personal opinion is - its a little too early for the UNP bring down this govt. They should wait for another six months to a year - so that MR and his PLUNDERING SWINEs Family can finish the job of economic and social destruction + plunder they are carrying out so efficiently under the cover of war.
You think UNP will run a clean Administration? Don't insult people like SB, Ravi and many others in the UNP.
The JVP will never permit the sale of our resources like water and forestry to foreigners, but the UNP capitalists like their SLFP counterparts, will not rest until they have sold the last drop of water and the last tree to foreigners. |

The govt behaving like a woman scorned. Should anything happen to any of them, govt will find itself in an indefensible position. This is plain stupidity |

Nothing Can happen to Hakeem unless he by force go and hit his head on the wall.
He got together with Velu and tried to use muslims. but, it
did not work muslims in the south did not want to go behind him.
Now, HAKEEM uses some batti muslims and live on that |

Ranil is suggesting a National Parliament to change constitution in order to cut the cabinet.
I think their objective is different from what they are talking about.
Every time changing constitution does not work for they are politicizing every thing. |
