Well done Murali. You have achieved the pinnacle in bowling in the history of test cricket. It is a great achievement amidst lot of challenges and criticism made by a section of unsporty people who didn't want to see a humble person like you from a small country like Sri Lanka achieving this goal. How ever you had the courage and determination to achieve this pinnacle through shear perseverance and keeping your head well above the unfair criticism. Congratulations for this wonderful achievement and may you have the strength and courage to continue your magical performance further to achieve that milestone of 1000 test wickets in the future. We all Sri Lankans and all your fans and supporters around the world are very proud of you and wish you good luck and all the very best to entertain the cricketing world with your magical spin wizardry for many more years to come.

No!
He is a TAMIL!!
Whom your cowards are arresting and throwing into jails, because they are Tamils.
Lot of upcountry Tamils are afraid to go to Colombo, even who were working in Colombo but visited their loved ones in the upcountry over the weekends, are unable to return to work, for fear of being arrested and tortured.
No modayas can be compared to this Great TAMIL and cannot achieve this feat.

Guys honestly think when it comes to murali no one gets the feeling of whether he is a Tamil or Sinhalese..etc like that , just a Proud Sri Lankan fellow...thats it

He does not care about anything when he has something to do to mother lanka he does it coolly..

True,Genuine Tamils always contribute Sri Lanka and will increase its productivity...not like other destructive, unproductive Tamils who has loyalty to India or west..lol

A good example of Sri Lankan Tamil

Muttiah Muralitharan has become the leading wicket-taker in Test cricket after breaking Shane Warne's record of 708 Test wickets. Murali dismissed Paul Collingwood during England's first innings in Kandy to take his 709th wicket.

Murali achieved the record in his 116th Test and on his home ground, which had been eagerly awaiting the historic moment over the first two days of the Test. After a difficult tour of Australia, where he managed four wickets in two matches, Murali closed in on the milestone with four wickets during the second day.

Enjoy
