I mentioned this some time back. It is very difficult to identify friend or enemy in times like this. And some of our Police employees are the worst to carry out this kind of tasks. They are not trained in such scenarios.

Not each and every police officer can carry out such duties. You need special training for these kind of tasks. And you really need to be neutral to be justice.
And I am sure that most of our under paid sl police constables and officers are not neutral and not trained well to tackle such problems.

1. We need to implement a water proof identification system to the whole Island (Digital with finger prints and biometrics). As a pilot project, start it in Colombo and suburbs.

2. Introduce a solid registration offices in Colombo/suburbs, lets say 4 offices (not grama sevaka or police) a civil department. These information has to be sent to a central registration office (IT Data center) where the police have access to. And after a certain amount of time if there are ppl living in colombo/suburbs with out a correct registration, they should be questioned.

3. Combine these registration offices and the registration of vehicles. This information should be combined in one Data center with high access rights/controls.

4. Implement a proper taxing system based on this DB. Taxes for Vehicles per year depending on the ccm2 and the Emission groups. Taxes for land holders depending on the amount of land each person hold, waste water and so on.

So for a start this should be enough, I can go on about building a secure and balanced society.

And this is what we should be talking about.

And not to sit in a sinking boat, and to flick the water holes temporarily. We first need to build a solid infrastructure to solve other problems.

have nice Sunday.

Sri Lanka meant for Sri Lankans only.

Sri Lankans are Sinhalese because Sinhala Only enacted in 1956 excluded all those spoke non-Sinhalese language.

In Singapore Chinese make up of 78%, Malays 15%, Indians 7% out of which 60% or 4.2% of the population speak Tamil.

Official languages :
Chinese
Malay
Tamil
and the link language is English.

This policy of accommodation treat all the citizens are Singaporians.

If that is too much for majority racists in Sri Lanka they can follow other countries such as Switzerland or Canada where Fedaralism allows multi lingualism and multi-culturism to thrive and prosper. No one community control another.

In Sri Lanka the elitist rulers of the Sinhalese majority exercise hegemony on other communities which causes ethnic problem. Peaceful solution based on models in other civilised countries can find a solution but military jingoism is destructive to all as we have seen during the last 50 years.

According to your figures

Sinhalese scored - 70,000
Tamils scored 748 + 200 extras

Tamils need good batman to catch up with Sinhalese.

Will they do it ?

Its sad when civilians are killed as a result of bombings of military targets or terrorist propaganda and communication centres.

Unfortunately the LTTE consciously places military installations in the vicinity of civilan settlements. It is on record by tamil writers that even when the LTTE was in control of Jaffna they exposed civilians to death and starvation to win international sympathy.

So Puli man get your terrorists to move away from civilians without using them as shields

We have also heard that the cowardly terrorist sun dog is also hiding underneath the Kilinochchi Hospital

Talking past data will increase the determination of killings by both sides.

Rather discuss the way forward to stop the nonsense.
