Malaysia had nothing to do with Singapore moving out of the Union. It was all to do with money. They were separate states before tha anyway.
Malaysia has taken the right path in providing for its people who are all Malaysian Citizens, whichever the ethnicity. It is now a modern developed state
Unless of course, the tamils there now claim it as part of greater eelam. Something of a shrink of borders anyway after your claim to Australia was rejected - with a lot of mirth

(Lanka-e-News, 2007 Dec.02, 3.20 PM) Not only Tamils but Sinhalese also are in utmost difficulty due to the search operation now undergoing in Colombo and suburbs.
Official figures of arrests have not been released but our sources said that the number of arrests were over than 1000. Tamils have been arrested due to being the residents of north and east and a large number of Indian origin Tamils have also been taken into custody.
Following the orders to arrest and investigate, the persons who have obtained identity cards from those areas have been taken into custody. They are detained in packed cells and for instance 100 are kept in cells where 40 can be kept in Dehiwala Police. Residents of Dehiwala area said that mothers were taken to police stations while the children were crying.
Meanwhile some Police officials have broken the sacred ornaments of Hindus and they have harrassed the devotees who were wearing black in accordance with the temple rituals.
All entry roads to Colombo were blocked and searched today and even the pedestrians were checked. Vehicles were in long queues due to the thorough checking and around four hours had to be spent to travel around five kilometers.
People were seen put in trouble irrespective of ethnicity and they were heard blaming the Government.
Media vehicles were also stuck in traffic blocks and the situation was not reported as media persons reported duty late.

Some 100 detainees have been sent to the Boossa detention camp in Galle following the arrests.
Around 350 Tamils were initially detained on Friday by the Maradana, Pettah, Grand Pass, Kotahena, Dehiwala, Pelawatte, Mirihana and Mount Lavinia Police Stations on suspicion. However, the number had increased to over 800 by last evening
Most probably all of them are innocent. Innocent people have to suffer in such conflicts. Perpetrators are safe.
In this scenario how could the Government convince the Southern Tamils that they are in safe hands? |
