| To be precise ,Prabhakaran is a schizophrenic moron who's main occupation is killing people, and time to time he comes out of his rat hole and addresses a bunch of morons. |

Sinthaka,
See my post on page 7 (addressed to lankanlover99). Same answer to you too.
:)
See also the questions posed. We need right thinking people from both sides working to end this situation in Lanka. One side cannot fully resolve this issue. BUT, step #1 is getting rid of the LTTE. Then we need to look at those questions of mine. That will be the true test for a solution....a lasting solution which will shape the future of Lanka. |

Fate,
I agree with you.
Velu should be taken off the equation. There's no point in discussing a negotiated settlement, or political solutions when a violence crazed megalomaniac keeps his killing machine turned on at full blast.
As soon as Velu is taken off, the country should go for a referendum. Let the ppl decide what they want, not the politicians

Chinthanaya,
Velu is a traitor to our people. He wants to sacrifice our poor kids for HIS venture. Read and weep:
Col Karuna says he left the rebel movement because disproportionate numbers of cadres from the east, like him, were being sacrificed on the battlefield, while the rebels from the north controlled the organisation.
Velupillai Prabhakaran at the meeting on Monday
Mr Prabhakaran appears in public rarely
And, he said, Prabhakaran was not serious about peace negotiations with the government of Sri Lanka and the now all-but-defunct 2002 ceasefire.
'I was a member of those talks,' he said.
'What we were told by him was to drag these talks out for about five years, somehow let the time pass by, meanwhile I will purchase arms and we'll be ready for the next stage of fighting.
'That was his order. I told him many times, 'Let's get a federal kind of solution. This federal settlement will bring an immediate solution for the Tamils.' But he never really accepted that,' he said. |

Sinthaka,
As soon as Velu is taken off, the country should go for a referendum. Let hte ppl decide what they want
Yes, this is the way forward. Let the people of ALL of Lanka, not just NE....decide. The solution MUST involve the sinhala people and not make them feel that they 'gave up' anything to my people. It must be a shared and mutually beneficial solution. A win-win.
No chance for any of that with the LTTE parasites in the way. I say get rid of them....and let's march towards true freedom as if this is the actual independence of Lanka!

I also think VP should be replaced quite soon. There needs to be a leader with a sharp mind, a vision, leadership qualities, a personality and character that wil be very popular among the masses. VP has been serving for a long time, probably time for a change.
Onna apita kelawennai yanne...
Ordinary Tamils start to see the light at the end of the tunnel :( :(
Pharaoh,
If you wanna my two cents worth from a Non-Tamil point of viewe...
Worst blunders of LTTE on Tamil nation are:
1. Child conscription
2. Not allowing kids to persue education
3. Fighting with IPKF and killing to Rajeev
4. 'Eliminating' so called traitors rather than ignore them and let them be jokers (like we people treat So called Prof Brian Seveneviratne etc :)
5. Not making friends but hell bent in killing people and making enemies on both sides
5. Shunning of Akashi! (grevest mistake of Tamils after the killing of Rajeev)
6. Treating IC like they treat Tamil citizens on Vanni :)
Having said that, I thing Velu is no joker. He is feared that since he has done huge groundwork for a independent Eelam with the help of oppressed low cast types, now the typical Vellala guys who left N and E will come and take over the power.
Even you are telling us that you guys need an educated and credible' leader!
Velu is doing everything possible to run his terror state, rather than trying to establish an independent Eelam where they must have elections in every five years.. velu knows that people will reject him after one term :)))
Think of Velu's point of viewe... He is doing Smart thing for HIM:)
This is going to be a typical 'Animal Farm story'

One question though to ALL of the sinhala members on this forum - do you genuinely believe that the majority will give an ear to reasonable tamil auntonomy in the North? How about equal rights - selection (for anything) on merit alone? How about getting Govt notices in sinhala & tamil languages....or only in English? Can you accept the tamil people as equals? I think most of you can. It is the zealots on both sides that mess up the whole thing.
Have you been to SL recently? Just curious no mean to offend lol no cause I do believe alot of signs in SL, at least in the city area and surrounding area are written in tamil as well as sinhala. Alot of english signs to.. Of course private enterprises of both sides do their own thing but in terms of government signs? I think that is slowly improving, but always can use helpful hints.... and yes some of us are 'reasonable' not all of us just scream and shout :). If tamil autonomy is the matter that should be discussed, then above all the thing I know we can should and must guarantee, which I believe we already do, (even if they must be overstepped presently because of the war) are equal rights. Lets put the past behind us and look forward, in trying to improve things for the future! |

I would just like to say to all the Tamil GoSL/ Sinhalese lovers.
You will not be able to do what you are doing today if the LTTE was not around to keep the Sinhala thugs in line |
