I'm very glad some of the more intelligent Tamil specimens in this forum like Eelamaya/Pharaoh are seeing sense. Even the TNA seems to have got their act right this time.
Velu thought he could create an ethnic backlash and unleash another cycle of violence like the 83 riots. I've no doubt the fellow blew up those kids traveling in a van in vanni as a prelude to the Nugegoda bomb, so that in his perverted sadistic mind this bombing would look as if its a 'retaliation'
The majority of the peace loving Tamils and Sinhalese have disappointed him yet again. No right thinking Tamil or Sinhalese wishes to annihilate one another.
Please lets get together and build this country. We all have shared the womb of an ancient common mother some time back in history. We have lived together side by side for thousands of years. We cannot let one violence crazed man dominate the fate of millions of ppl.
More than the Sinhalese, its the Tamils that are set lose if they bank their fate on Velu in future....if they have not lost everything already....

yes, I pray for all the dead, the dying and the damned! All those affected by this war set upon us by a ruthless megalomaniac, whether tamil, sinhala or muslim (or burgher) becos a life is a life, no matter what race, religion or nationality. I pray for those lost souls (the LTTE suporting tamil diaspora) that they may one day realise the folly that they brought upon our people which the history books will record as the worse than the hypnotic control Hitler had over the Germans....and Velu did it for almost 30yrs. Gladly, that will be all over soon, and we can trun over a new leaf!

wow it looks like i am making many unexpected friends tonight! i guess alot of people are finally realizing what they prob have been feeling subconsciously for a long time. The LTTE supporting diaspora are but a minority of tamils.....BUT they have the voice! They have the power of intimidation and causing death without care - now that is FEAR POWER that makes them fool the World that they are the sole reps of tamils.
this is what I long thought and believed is true, and I have long feared that it was people like you whos voice is being disenfranchised... You say so yourself, this minority of you barks like dogs, which is why whole world is fooled to thinking that you guys are generally for tigers. Governments around the world always going to be increasingly iffy about tigers cuz of diaspora yet supportive of GOSL because of our small diaspora and territorial integrity , oil, terrorism tactics, etc. therefore war will be dragged on and off infinitely, neither of our two potentially great people on our potentially great island moving forward, hardly at all since colonial times when the white pigs left. Is this what you want???? |

You got that right bro. We all should work together - tamil, sinhala and muslim to terminate the LTTE, cos they are the ones that are keeping our peoples is the dark ages while the rest of the World around us moves on. The LTTE supporting diaspora needs to be weeded out. That is a task for non-LTTE supporting tamils. Not easy. But SHALL be achieved!

| The only way you can change this is by voicing your opinion tooand you this is true.... if people understood more that the LTTE does not represent any tamils except prabha, his family, and maybe a few 'colonels', some NGOS (like TRO), and norway and criminal arm dealers then US, UN, Germany and others would understand that there is no true political solution to our country's problem with LTTE and Prabha in the picture. |

I understand you are an anti-LTTE Tamil. I suspect you are going to be joined by lot more Tamils in future.
Just look at LNP and see how Velu's plan is backfiring.
If Tamils want a negotiated settlement, they should first earn credibility for it.
What credibility has Velu shown?
Why is the IC now distancing it self from Diaspora?
What have the Tamils gained during the 30 years of conflict?

you read my previous post - about the answer you seek. The ONLY way is to move LTTE out of the picture and then let tamil sinhala and muslim people sort it out. We dont need the distraction of terrorism in the mix. We need consultation. Let the SLA deal with the LTTE and the majority of us tamils deal with the LTTE-spoorting diaspora. Murderers cant survice forever. Their day of reckoning will come.
One question though to ALL of the sinhala members on this forum - do you genuinely believe that the majority will give an ear to reasonable tamil auntonomy in the North? How about equal rights - selection (for anything) on merit alone? How about getting Govt notices in sinhala & tamil languages....or only in English? Can you accept the tamil people as equals? I think most of you can. It is the zealots on both sides that mess up the whole thing. |
