Valid concern.
VP is not in politics which where people just come and go every 4 or 5 years. It is a struggle. Struggle that he has seen on his own people for past 50 years.
Tamils never elected him. But he raised him self with valid justifications. Tamils desperately wanted and waited for
A person,
A strength,
A shoulder ,
A border ,
A Power
A security.
Many tried to fill that empty feeling of Tamils. Only Pirabakaran succeeded.
He is been there for long, and he will be there as long as he can provide that feeling of security and strength to those really needs.
Mind you, sangari/Douglas/Karuna/and all others once part of VP or wanted to be part of VP. It is VP who decides who he can be with and not.
His long vision proved that sangari or Dog'las or Karuna can't be with him for long, and it is what we see today them as actual traitors in tamil community.
Again, he is not in politics or white color office.
Things and the way he move around or go further always have issues and implications.
Sadly or otherwise still majority of Tamils have faith on him is what the fact.
You need change.. ?
Then show the changes which makes Tamils to change.
They are not ready to get on your ship, since you have no anchor in case drowned.
VP may not have either, but it is better to have known devil than unknown.

Hey, Velu bugger nearly got me in the Nugegoda bomb blast. Missed it by couple of minutes....
Was somewhere between Nugegoda and Kohuwela when it happed. Muffled Blast...thought it was another idiot woman blowing her self up.

you are right. No 100% population of a race or creed can be fully trust-worthy. Neither tamils nor sinhalese (or muslims for that matter). Same is true of others outside Lanka. BUT - Not all tamils support the LTTE, whether we be in Lanka or outside. The LTTE supporting diaspora are but a minority of tamils.....BUT they have the voice! They have the power of intimidation and causing death without care - now that is FEAR POWER that makes them fool the World that they are the sole reps of tamils. That just isnt true. There are many of us who will celebrate alongside the sinhala people of Lanka when the LTTE is wiped out and the LTTE ghetto called the Wanni falls. My Christmas prayer is that it may happen soon! For the sake of Lankan people of all races. |

Terribly sorry about that gap, I was busy.... hope you are still about, I can remain with you folks for the next 54 minutes before I have to go... of course not all tamils are bad... if thruth has it to speak from a rational point of view, you guys are just like anyone else, who wants to be treated fairly, and were ultimately hoodwinked for years by people like prabha who thought war with us was the only and only way to what was ultimately something about fairness correct? |

Pathetic LTTE tried to kill Douglas almost dozen times. Failed every single time. This guy has some luck.
It is VP's personal vandetta against Douglas. Poor idiotic black tigers are giving their lives for someone else's grudge.
