Doglass and the EPDP gangs are nothing but bunch of thugs who kill Tamils in Jaffna . Who are simply mersonaries for GOSL racist agenda. Same goes to
Karuna TMVP. even the GOSL Sanath Fonseka claimed that in an interview.
If you look at the turn of events, when every time attacked Sinhala civilians
including their Thalathamaligawa by LTTE, it was a reaction to what GOSL previously did Tamils. Since Independence Sinhala state treated the minorities as second class. Tamils tried all the non violent Ghandian methods and when that met with violence by terrorist racist GOSL which was voted by Sinhala majority, Tamils compelled to fight with arms. Now it has come to this hight.
When Tamils are killed no one condemns, instead they claim it collateral damage.
What a convenient way. When LTTE does it is terrorism. In Batticaloa , GOSL terrorized more than 300,000 people with indiscriminate shelling , Multi barrel attacks and Air bombardment to chase them out of their livelihood. No one cared.
All those people were made refugees in their home land. They are still refugees after many month of control by terrorist GOSL state. Why ? because they are Tamils.
VP is the only leader who stands all those atrocities courageously and fight the terror with terror. He never even for a single second betrayed the Tamil freedom struggle which was started many decades before VP is born. Majority of Tamils have great faith in him including me.
Sinhala chauvinism tries aggressively to portray as this a terrorist problem and trying to crush with all the IC support money , Weapon and Moral . This deceptive tactic worked well with the IC.
Tamils feel so much disadvantaged. Only strength is courageous dedicated fighters
who are even willing to give away their life to protect their people from Sinhala terrorist Governments. The suicide attack is nothing new, Japanese used it.
Others will also use it if they could, but no one is willing to take part.
i saw some people tries to create a deception that if not for VP, Tamil Eelam would
been created, this is the biggest joke i ever heard. if not for VP, Tamils will be living
in shame and Sinhalas will be busy ethnic cleansing the Tamils.

i have always said Tamils need an independant state to safeguard against GOSL terrorism, no matter what, but there have been some mistakes made. those need to be realised and rectified.
LTTE have to show maturity that they are ready to run a country. |

Only mistake LTTE made that i could think of is chasing the of Muslims from Jaffna. i do not agree with that, they had the right
to stay in their home land just like Tamils do.
Tamils need to Apologize to Muslims brothers and Sisters
and Financially compensate them. i know that will not take away
the pain and the suffering they went through.
LTTE have to show maturity that they are ready to run a country.
They already run a effective Government in Vanni which will be a model for other areas.

| Yes, Prabha does not want any Tamil leader other than himself. That is why LTTE was irrupted to 23 different groups which includes EPDP. Some stupid tamils do not understand this and keep funding to LTTE. They have been struggling to form tamil land for more than 25 yaers. Sacrified nearly 20,000 young tamils billions of money. What they have eraned. Frustration, rejection (by most of world community label LTTE as a terorrist organization), loosing, downgrading etc. At least now they must negotiate with the government for a reasonable solution rather than an Ealam. |

It is interesting what Eelamaya and Pharoah suggest. It is wise to take stock of a situation and readjust your approach if needed.
The biggest change to the balance of power between the GOSL and the LTTE has come about as a result of the IC taking a hard stand on the side of the GOSL. Without the interference of the IC in providing military and material aid to the GOSL, political and diplomatic support for the GOSL policy, the LTTE may have been able to continue to make gains with its military based strategy.
As you suggest a solution to the Tamil National question will have to take into account the feelings of the Sinhala and Muslim communities to be viable. Most Sinhala and probably most Muslim people see the LTTE as purely a sectarian ethnic organization that targets them as the enemy. There is a need to address this perception/reality. if a significant minority even of the other communities, particulary from the working and poor classes, can be won over to a common programme that champions Tamil rights but also champions the rights of all Lanka's oppressed then there is a far more formidable force for the SInhala elites to contend with.
Terror is a tactic used by organizations to achieve poltical purposes. It is usually a tactic borne of desperation and whose results are dubious at best. In the present international climate though it is unlikely that the military/terror approach can yield much fruit. Indeed it is likely to be counterproductive. But on the other hand the LTTE needs to guard against the desire of the GOSL to completely destroy the LTTE and through colonization redraw the map of the North and East. This is a tactic successfully used by the Israelis who use settlers to break the contiguity of the Palestinian land.
This is the age of 'democracy' both as a farcical concept used by the IC to intervene in other states but also a recognition by the worlds people that the rights of individuals are important and need to be guarded or gained. The Tamil Liberation movement needs to assess the natinal and international situation and develop a program for the new century. However depending on the IC to deliver Tamil rights is as you can all see a pipedream. The IC needs to be taken into account but all eggs in that basket would be big mistake. The principal strategy must be one based on your own people and that means of course the Tamil people but to be effective it should be a movement of all the people. |
