Prabhakaran`s main occupation is killing people - Douglas

LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran`s annual speech on the so-called heroes` day was mainly meant to talk of the number of people killed. He was a person who did not want to find a peaceful solution to the problems of the Tamil people. From 1987 he had been using deception to escape the challenge of arriving at a political solution as he was like an eel who always daubed himself with oil to slip out of any difficult situation, Minister of Social Services and Social Welfare, Douglas Devananda who escaped yet another assassination attempt by the LTTE on Wednesday, said in Parliament yesterday (29).
`Prabhakaran`s main occupation is murdering people and he had no love for anyone whether they were Sinhalese, Tamil, Muslim or Indian. But I am not afraid of Prabhakaran nor can he stop my politics,` Devananda said.
He offered his condolence to the families of the people who were killed at Nugegoda by the LTTE.
`I have worked for the welfare of the Tamil people and it was on the public day of my ministry when a lot of Tamil people come to see me to get various matters attended that Prabhakaran chose to kill me because he knows I work for the Tamil people.`
`I also like to have an Interim Self Government Authority in the North and East, but not on the terms and conditions that Prabhakaran wants because he has kept killing all Tamil leaders who espoused the cause of the people or wanted to liberate the Tamil people. Starting with Padmanabha, Amirthalingam and other TULF leaders and later Tiruchelvam he had continued to kill Tamil people but and he will never let any other Tamil leader work for their people.`
Devananda said the total number of LTTE cadres killed so far was 19,000.

Forget that pathetic looser Douglas!
LTTE messed up so many times, if they did not, Tamil would have had a independant state long time back :
1. Coward killing of Sinhalese civilians has prevented any chance of winning the minds of Sinhalese people that otherwise would have helped Tamils in the creation of Tamil Eelam
2. Dreadful treatment of Muslims have also prevented the formation of Tamil-Muslim alliance
3. Inability of LTTE to unite Tamils. They depend on GOSL terrorism to get support. LTTE should do some things that Tamils say they support LTTE as they do good things rather than they support LTTE because of GOSL terrorism and ethnic cleansing
4. Too many traitors in Tamil population, eg. Sangaree, Devananda, Kadir
5. LTTE leader only makes 2 -3 speeches a year. He should make more to inspire and galvanise the Tamil masses. I think VP is a shy and reserved man.
If it was not for the 5 points above, their would be a great country called Tamil Eelam with Trincomalee being the most prosperous capital city in South Asia
Still, GOSl terrorism is 10X more than anything else, that is why Tamils are still asking for a separate state. Tamils in the West should make LTTE get its act together and serve ordinary Tamil people in Northeast and stop thinking about revenge against Sinhalese.

This is not exactly true.
LTTE did not do anything extra ordinary except they moved Violence and cheating without LEaps and bounds.
IF you REALLY want to learn about the tamils struggle, first learn about the TamilNAdu tamil struggle which ended in 1964.
That ended once tamil leaders were allowed to ExPLOIT poor tamils in TamilNADU.
Otherwise, That tamil struggle began as a anti HINDU, anti - Brahmin, Anti - North Indian, Anti - Aryan etc.,
Because, it was racist and oppressive and discriminating, it failed.
It is the same thing with Sri Lankan tamils who follow TAmilNADu.
SO, IT IS BOUND TO AND DESTINED TO FAIL. It is ant- Sinhala, anti -muslim, anti-Buddhist, anti-Aryan and anti-HIndu.
Nowhere in this world you can produce a mono ethnic country. THAT IS BOUND TO FAIL.

Looking at the recent so-called freedom struggles in the world, there had always been credible supporters from the opposite side... MLK had Kennedy, Mandela had De Klerk, even Gandhi had British supporters...Tamils do not have any such supporters..It is unfortunate, but true.
We are digging our own hole, if we follow this path to nowhere. The time world used to pay attention to military attire is past gone... Tamils need to move on an intelligent path to accumulate friends for its cause.
Even Duggy, I doubt that Tamils would score any point by killing him, but be another counter productive act...

EPDP is a feared org in Jaffna. Try saying anything abd about EPDP and see how long you live in Jaffna?

very true, i noticed this in all freedom struggles i have come across. I know many GOSL supporters think Tamils deserve to die, judging by their celebreations when civilians settlements are bombed, but we cant have the same attitude. I did not like the way many Tamils were reacting to the Nugegoda blasts as though they deserved it, almost a mirror of GOSL supporters.
Once we think another race is inferior, we will carry this attitude into our own society for intra-ethnic feud, with Hindus discriminating Christians, Jaffna people discriminating Mannar people, etc. We have to develop into a civilised society unlike GOSL primates.
I also think VP should be replaced quite soon. There needs to be a leader with a sharp mind, a vision, leadership qualities, a personality and character that wil be very popular among the masses. VP has been serving for a long time, probably time for a change.
