DPU attack claims lives of 7 school girls, 11 killed

TamilNet, Tuesday, 27 November 2007, 09:47 GMT

Seven school girls, riding in a Hiace van engaged in rural first aid service, were killed on the spot at Iyangkea'ni on Kokkaavil - Thu'nukkaay Road in Vanni Tuesday at 11:30 a.m, in a Claymore attack carried out by the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) Deep Penetration Unit (DPU). The driver of the van and three male volunteers were also killed in the attack, according to Tamileelam Police in Ki'linochchi.
The DPU attacks have been stepped up in Vanni during the last three days when Heroes Day remembrance events were being held in Vanni.

	Sera Don't know what those reports said but even if they did confirm the woman was pregnant would you guys have believed it eh... Moby/Dewey About time sldf use those tax money to get some heavy duty MLRS's and start frying each of those ltte rats in their bunker holes... Ltte is helping government's case to fight them even harder after these things...

The blast is at 'Next' Shopping Mall buiding hidden inside the counter according to SLBC.

Its the 'No Limit' & 'Next' Building according to Brig Udaya Nanaykara. DEtails are still sketchy.

We will have this kind of thing till the next Budget vote on the 14th Dec.

This guys has no value for human life. First a pregent woman and now a polio patient.

With the Christmas shopping around the corner the GOSL has to make the public be more vigilant and alert and double check all parcels.

The Guest houses and boardings where traverllers from North
make stop overs has to be again checked throughly for LTTE
infiltrators.

16 Dead and 40 injured according to a Kalubowila Hospital.
