The SLAF has just received 4 new Searcher MkII UAV's from Israel!!..I've been told that all 4 of them are equipped with a more advanced Electro-Optic payload
Further more.. apparently they have also provided the SLAF with Laser designators and Laser Guidance Kits for our Mk-84 Bunker Busters!!..
Guess who provided the $100 Million Loan to buy these Goodies!!.. :O))))
This same ''Friendly Neighbour'' has FINALLY given its approval to sell us some of the items included in the List prepared by the Sri Lankan Defence Secretary!!.. :O))))
SLAF Mi-35P's are in the process of being upgraded to Mi-35M's!!.. This upgrade to existing aircraft in the SLAF fleet + acquiring new Mi-35M's from Russia will be completed in the next 2-3 months.. The aim is to have around 6-7 aircraft in this class..
The aircraft will have a full all-weather Day-Night Attack/Reconnaissance capability!!.. We are also apparently getting a stock of HE-Heat guided missiles for these units!!..
Mann that's some serious fire-power!!.. :O))))
This is just the SLAF..
I heard the SLN is about to receive some Goodies from Israel too.. Electo-Optical Fire Control Systems and 30mm weapons!!..
