LTTE is that powerful military and political organization ? they have relatively good military power I must say, but they have no what so ever political power. If they do, they do not need military power in the first place. But they are for sure, a powerful international financial organization. Any way it won?t take much to get people to kill them self for any idiotic reason. People even killed for length of their noses.

The compound which was under mud huts and cement structures. Gave all the people in the area an impression that there was nothing else.
side entrances were directly hit

ALL this proves only one thing.
GoSL will do anything spend any amount of money, bomb, kill , lie , cheat sell their sisters even just to stop VP from making his speech, That much fear/ respect is good enough for the LTTE.

VP this time during the hero day punnaku speech is preparing to declare unilaterally Eelam or even set the stage for unilateral declaration for January 2008.
LTTE has been suffering a lot of casualties during the last few months
at this rate LTTE is losing more people than they can train and most who are dying now are Leopards.
for small organization such as LTTE daily death toll of 5 is a disaster because it destroys LTTE morale and recruitment. LTTE is also losing a lot of young leaders who could become likes of Karuna's in the future.
keep it like this VP will have to run to south africa to seek asylum.
