Maybe cos he thinks being in the common wealth means they should share the wealth commonly. Just like what he and his brothers are doing now.

I am fallowing Sri Lankan government versions of LTTE casualities always highlited by Academic. Western deplomats are laughing at Sri Lankan government by saying war is over. They say Sri Lankan security forces Have alredi killed all the Tigers and most of the Tamils living in Noth East.
This is the sory state of the Sinhala government. I laugh to see Some SAinhalese nationalist in this forem reproduce the mis infomations of their government.

Pakistan is a 'difficult' case . A loose organisation like the 'Commonwealth Club' can pass a resolution to the effect .. 'We do not wish to recognise Pakistan' .. but the USA will 'tread more carefully' .. in dealing with Pakistan.

This is a country with atomic weapons .. and die-hard Islamic activists (jihadists), who'd be happy to blow up cities in the US, and half a dozen European countries, if given half a chance. Gen Musharaff is 'sitting' on most of them .. holding them in check. One wonders how Madam Bhutto .. and other aspirants to power will cope.

Gen Musharaff must allow (make provision for ) responsible civil government to emerge. However, his first task may well be .. as he says .. to curb (cull) the extremists.

IC knows well that Racist rogue GOSL do not have any policies other than making money for them by looting the country in the name of eradicating terrorism. Poor Sinhalas have no clue.

The contradictory approach of foreign minister and the President of Sri Lanka over the suspicion of Pakistan from Commonwealth expose the constrains of Sri Lankan diplomacy. Sri Lanka cannot running with India and hunting with Pakistan and plotting with China for a long period. Tamils can take the advantage of such diplomatic impasses of the Sri Lanka in future. For that Tamils have to give up their PKK style approach to international community. Tamils will win if they are willing to learned from the relationship maintained by ANC, Eritreans, East Timorien and South Sudan liberation movements with international community. I hope they will.
