Pharoah,

Yeah, one of my friends said he once went to Trinco during the ceasefire and he was just blown away by the sheer natural beauty of the place. Another friend of mine said his grandmother's backyard in Jaffna led straight to the beach! I think the warzone is the most beautiful part of the country, and a tourism hotspot waiting to explode.

It is a Great place..

The Guy who owns a Motel called 'Tsunami' is from UK and has a sri lankan GF..he said the waves are so great Tourist come to surf and stay 3 to 6 months there..He comes to Hong kong and I know him personally

The sad story is during the Tsuanmi this guy lost everything..and the Gosl offered him US85 as compensation..

Nice place surrounded by a lot of bad people. Good for nothing SLTourism Board is trying cash is this ad hoc award. But tourists are more aware of the risks. Slanka will not do well in tourism until and unless peace dawn on it.

RK...don't agree with you on that one mate...
I was there only a few months ago with bunch of friends...
People were very warm and friendly...
Most of us who returned from there wanted to own beachfront property there :)
My only complaint is that thee infrastructure is bad... the roads are not that great etc...
Otherwise it's a lovely place and i'm sure it'll slowly develop...

Anud
This area is safe and under gosl... you can freely drive there :)
You get beach buggies/Atv's etc to hire and roam around the area...the cops won't bug you.... at least it's like that so far :)
If water sports is your thing...you can catch some nice waves on your surf board...
can do a bit of fishing too :)
Great place overall...just need some interest and attention by the government to develop that's all

Hey Berty :)
Nope....no scottish people...
Only me, my wife and a few friends...

On stating the obvious...RK was saying something against those people and it was only right to step in and give my 2 cents

And on avoiding you...
I don't like people involving family etc on these forums like you have repeatedly done even on this instance... I don't like when strangers get into personal attacks like you do quite often when you run out of valid arguments...
If i can avoid those things...i will cos have had enough of bad language and new levels of low levels some posters tend to sink to trying to make a point even if it's baseless...
I'm sure you can remember what i'm talking about.

I did not mean to drag your family but it was simply a heated exchange and it is over..and I am very very sorry..

I don't think what i did was a crime..there are others in this forum lie about everything..but not me..

You know the apology is accepted if it was genuine :)
And i hope it is :)
If you can leave personal things away from discussion i'm fine with that...
Don't drag scottish people and my family interests into these things...cos i won't.
Cheers
Dauntless
