If their words and actions hurt the Tamils then they most definitely are bad apples.

another bad apple i guess
http://www.lankanewspapers.com/news/2007/11/21653_space.html

Tamil politicians, by failing to avoid the trap of communal/ethnic politics, have led the Tamils to their present plight. Tamil politicians by failing to articulate the problems confronting the Tamils in
a national context, rather than exclusively in an ethnic context, failed their people miserably. The inability of the Tamil politicians to reach out to the Sinhala masses and identify with their problems, while making them aware of the problems of the Tamils in the language they understood, was a historical tragedy.

The 36-year-old opener issued an open letter to Duleep Mendis, chief executive of Sri Lanka Cricket, informing him of his decision.

Atapattu raised a storm during the first Brisbane Test against Australia earlier this month when he called his national selectors 'muppets headed by a joker.'

A NEWS FLASH!!..

K.Karunamoorthy... owner of the DVD distribution company Aynagaran International... Has been under detention in Sri Lanka for the last 4 months!!... He is apparently singing like a little canary about his links to the LTTE, and their fundraising Network and activities in Europe..

Karunamoorthy's family who reside in the UK have approached the Foreign Office for help to get him released... in short, they have been informed ever so politely that the UK Government will not intervene!!.. Two reasons.... ONE: Scotland Yard already has a file on Mr. Karunamoorthy's nefarious activities, and TWO: that the matter is related to Terrorism in Sri Lanka, and hence a Internal Sri Lankan matter....

Observe the British Governments reluctance to get involved this time round!!... compare this with their efforts to get Rajasingham Jeyadevan released when he was incarcerated by the LTTE!!.. Mr. Jeyadevan wasn't even a British Citizen then, he was an immigrant with an indefinites leave to remain passport!!..

Balasingham, Shanthan and now the owner of Aynagaran International.. the Future looks bleak!!.. :O)

FBI pointed out that they would be produced in courts after a systematic probe on the irregular transactions carried out by the TRO.

Just wondering how a news agency knows things that even the FBI did not reveal or mention.
Only in Silly Lanka.

He got a panic attack, because he is the Head of TRO in Malaysia

Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera suspects Malaysia and Singapore may be 'clearing houses' for funds raised around the world by the LTTE to finance its struggle for a separate homeland in Sri Lanka.

He did not provide any details to support his claim, but in an interview with the New Straits Times he said that he had informed his Malaysian counterpart, Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar, of the matter. Sri Lanka also offered to share intelligence with security agencies in Malayasia. Colombo had information that the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam may be channelling money from sympathisers to bank accounts in Malaysia and Singapore, he said. The funds were then used to buy weapons.

He said this finding dovetailed with the fact that most of the procurement for arms was taking place in Southeast Asia, especially in Cambodia and Thailand.

?The Malaysian, Thai and Cambodian governments are taking this very seriously,? he told the NST before leaving for home after attending the Non-Aligned Movement meeting here.Sri Lanka is trying to find out how the Tigers are moving money into Malaysia.

?The process of channelling funds raised in European Union nations and the United States to Malaysia and Singapore is rather complicated. This is why we are seeking the co-operation of countries like Malaysia,? he said.

Sign of desperation on the GoSL's side it seems. Garbing at anything. UK government knows all this is too little too late.
Lets see how the GoSL handles this matter, remember this is the same government which issued false passport and visas to Karuna, a beloved ally of MR and Co.
