LTTE to negotiate on your behalf a reasonable deal with the govt?
before any peacetalks/negotiations, Rajapakse will need to change the constitution to show he is ready for peace talks. otherwise peace talks are pointless as current SL constitution is against power sharing, in the form of federal state or similar levels of devolution. just like when almost all (CBK, Kadir, Ranil, etc) supported th PTMOS with LTTE, but only JVP went to Supreme court and prevented the agreement.

...peace talks have been taking place for 20 years. They are quite useless at this stage!

What's the justification for a federal state ? LTTE has never received Tamil people's mandate. Once they receive, we can talk about devolution. |
