Last few year I am warning of a possible violent against poor Sinhalese youths of down south who oppose MR brothers. After the budget dispute between JVP and MR brothers not only politician but also Military chief stated to blame Southern youths for the destabilization of Yala. They are also talking about possible coordination of these youths with LTTE. Military chief speaking this type of politics is dangerous. We Tamils who are in the receiving end know this dirty war politics of the Military chiefs.
But this approach of the Military may open new avenue for unity between Tamil and Sinhalese youths starts from from the down south. That I will support.

So, as this article says, individual groups must take care of their own affairs. This is exactly what Tamils are trying to do. They are saying enough is enough... we want to go our own way!

gosh please read it properly

The Sinhala misgivings and misunderstanding about the Tamils have to be systematically confronted and weeded out. The Tamils have to convince the Sinhala people of their loyalty to Sri Lanka, their respect for them as a people and interest in their welfare.

This a two-way process that has to be taken forward immediately, in the interests of Sri Lanka. If our so-called leaders are incapable of taking us on this path, we, the Sinhalese, Tamils and the Muslims have to take this path as individuals and groups. The people have to be 'Educated' to see the world as it is and understand its complexity, its beauty and its ugliness.

Eelamaya,

How many Benzes this time? Monks have learned to play the game.

You speak as if every monk in this country is a corrupted and greedy. There are of course a few bad apples as you see in every religion. But largely, these are genuine concerns expressed by the buddhists.

The Sinhalese are well aware of Ranils 'little circle' of advisor's....

Even if the 'kepilla' was not there, the man does not have any charisma. He is a son of a crook also .

Well, one can never be sure (If you go through SF's past posts, you would see another point of view of Sajith.)

Given the choice of annihilation as a party or change leadership I hope someone comes forward and does what is rquired at the time of need.

A country can only be successful politically if it has a strong PATRIOTIC opposition. UNP under Ranil has displayed that it doesn't have an iota of patriotism running in its veins.

However Ranil can't issue a statement yet as his 'script writers ' are on STRIKE :)

Freddie flintoff,

Clearly you disapprove of some/all/most of their policies.

Ur confusing me..!! THEIR policies..whom ru talking about.
Their for u..may be Our for me..careful lolz

I thought they have close relationship with the diaspora. Whom in the Diaspora have control over their policies?

again...THEY..who are they? it may be WE!!

If the diaspora can influence and certainly guide LTTE, why arent they doing so? Is it becuase LTTE doesnt really listen or is it becase the LTTE is following the diaspora directions?

These are two seperate issues..just cos you contribute does not give you the authority to tell LTTE what to do..if your happy with LTTE you give more..if your not happy..don't give..

to be frank flinlock..i am not interested in WAR..i want to watch MR and his bros and rasak screw the Sri lankan people..lolz

Unfortunately, all the joke writers are in strike. Maybe Kiriella or Tissa could volunteer...

If Ranil is indeed as bad as you claim, how come he still commands enormous people power? It is either the Sinhala people who support are non-patriotic modayas or they are patriots and believe Ranil is a patriot.
