The LTTE yesterday, for the first time, admitted that 13 of their top cadres died in the attack on their arms ship off the Southern coast by the Navy on February 27.

| Most of those who blabber were not in the North after the Tsunami nor had direct info to know what TRO did or did not do. This is the same mistake the GOSL did, just because you hate LTTE dont take it on the civilians. TRO was one of the major parties helping the civilian's others were foreign NGO's not the GOSL. |

I think it is better for many charity groups to exist, than just having one main (in this case TRO for the NorthEast).
Any charity who has connections with the LTTE due to LTTE control will only get trouble to send funds to the needy which is then reflected as government mistreating the people. I think LTTE plays this game cleverly and the IC now slowly realise what had gone through.
I have been bit busy with some reports hardly came to LNP.
I think the genuine moderate Tamils like yourself need to educate those who think LTTE will bring freedom for the poor tamils. If not Tamils will face more and more hardships than any liberations. There is no turning back if this is not stopped. I am sure GOSL will continue to stamp on present success which will create more mayhem and India and US will go quiet which is NOT what LTTE had in the past. In that case MR is doing a smart game and this is also shown with many crossovers to the government from the UNP. Once UNP was over joyed with Mangala and Sripathy lot only to see more UNPers crossing over. I am sure our friend HYS must be quite concerned but UNP has proven once again that they are a sinking ship, they will never ever win as long as Ranil is the captain of the UNP ship. I am sure the good old JRJ must be cursing his nephew from the grave.

'TRO passed off its operations as charitable, when in fact it was raising money for a designated terrorist group responsible for heinous acts of terrorism,' said Adam Szubin, director of Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control.
TRO also was involved in the purchase of 'munitions, equipment, communications devices and other technology' for the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka, the department alleged.
Ohh No!!
US is sending a very clear message to the LTTE leadership.
Gone are the days when 'liberation' movements and violence could move nations to act.
