Hi Pera,

Nice to see you lokka here. Do you know which year Dhamma Jagoda died and when did he last perform as Veddah in Maname? Its for my friend who wants to know about this stuff? I know Prof. Sarachchandra died in 1990s.

Sorry guys, this is out of topic. Just as the weekend is looming we are trying to be bit nostalgic and cannot remember anything other than Maname and old stuff :)

Hi Priya,

How are you dear, hope everything is fine, where is our friend Abeysinghe today? :)

I am not 100% sure. Perhaps late 80s. I remeber Dhamma Jagoda making a tele drama 'Sandaka Kathawak' about 1983 riots (He used lots of our neighbours for that!!). Perhaps he died in 1986.

Prof Sarathchandra died in 1996 I suppose.

Have you read the book 'Maname Mathakwee' by Dr Sarath Amunugama??? That is about early production of Maname and other Prof's dramas at Wala, Peradeniya!!

Cheers
