Yes. Its trying to Woo JVP

Government agrees to JVP's four conditions?

(Lanka-e-News, November 15, 9.00 PM) The Government parliamentary group and the cabinet will meet tonight to decide if to agree to the four conditions set forth by the JVp to vote in support of the budget, said the Minister of Media and Information Anura Priyadarshana Yapa.

Minister of Construction and Engineering Services Rajitha Senarathna too said at a press conference of the UNP Democratic Group that such an agreement with JVP is pending.

Minister Rajitha said that the Government is not in difficulty to accept the four conditions of the JVP that is in the same line with the Government.

However, the Government has not so far discussed the matter and the decision will be taken after a discussion of the Cabinet, said both Ministers.

JVP leader Somawansa Amarasinghe declared four conditions to be fulfilled within four days to support the budget, addressing the memorial of the fallen JVPers held on November 13 at the National Youth Center, Maharagama.

The conditions are as follows:

1. An order be issued to abolish the ceasefire agreement.

2. The government should act to safeguard the territorial integrity, sovereignty and national security without limiting to statements

3. The All Party Representative Committee should be abolished

4. The government should act to to avoid the pressure from the United Nations over the violation of human rights of the country

The JVP leader stated that the executive President could easily fulfill these conditions and the JVP would vote wholeheartedly to the budget if so.

Sources said that the Government would agree to these four conditions after a hesitation on abolishing APRC.

I think a Ban is on the cards. Govt is probably weighing the Diplomatic backlash against appeasing JVP.

Sinthaka,

Dilan Perera is openly advocationg discussions and power sharing with LTTE.

We all know LTTE killed Sajith's father President Premadasa and Navin's father Gamini Dissanayake.

However Dilan is Not ready to share anything with Mahinda Ratnathilake, claiming that Ratnatilake is a killer.

Then how could Dilan talk of broader power sharing and discussions with murderous LTTE???

We Tamils are waiting for the Ban on LTTE so that CFA will come to and end in Sri Lanka.....and VP & LTTE could proceed with their agenda without any International community implications like in the past.....now it is a situation LTTE is handcuffed with CFA and GOSL is showing colours that LTTE is getting hammered in North and East.....let us give LTTE a free hand without CFA then we can establish whether LTTE are weerayas or GOSL guys are Weerayas and have Manhinda JVP & JHU jayagosha celebrations with Kiribath and Lunu miris ........Sin aney

All LTTE victories were pre CFA and All Sinhala GOSL victories are post CFA....Jayawewa LTTE & VP
