I believe the US government has gathered verifiable evidence through the FBI/CIA well before they took this step. |

If someone (livinig in West) wants to help Tamil people in villages in NorthEast, what other organisations are there to go to?
I believe there are organizations like red cross. But, LTTE has to funnel everything and filter most of the aid. People lost Tsunami aid too because of LTTE greed. |

Hi Pharaoh,
How are you doing?
If someone (livinig in West) wants to help Tamil people in villages in NorthEast, what other organisations are there to go to? TRO was the largest organisation doing work in the NorthEast.
This is the trouble. Its very difficult to help genuinely without a political influence. TRO started genuinely and then was seiving through the LTTE which led to block them.
I have similar experiences when we tried to work independently to uplift environmental issues the government poke their noses where it all gets political and muddled and sometime too messy that ministers poke their personal hands to issues which lead to genuine workers leaving. So TRO getting blocked is not a surprise.
Its hard to help as an independent organisation these days unless you have huge funds.

EU should take the same action against such organizations,
these people feeding the LTTE which is causing this war,
if tamils in the west genuinely want to help tamils in the NE their should stop funding the LTTE,
you guys can only give money, the Human resources will be taken from the tamils who are living in the N&E, whether their are willing to do it or not. |

After the Tsunami many govt's. pledged to match dollar for dollar on contributions to major charities. But many Tamils chose TRO because these charities go through the government of SL and before it reaches the people 75% is lost. No one has trust in anything that GOSL does. |

Hi JRJ
good to see you back. were you busy? I am fine thanks

I think it is better for many charity groups to exist, than just having one main (in this case TRO for the NorthEast). When many charity organisations exist, they recieve less attention and publicity, and can do their work uninterrupted, as well as focusing on specific needs than general needs.

This is cheating themselves.
IT is well known that TRO is LTTE organization and LTTE is using tamils for their own advantage. Yet diaspora expect TRO to help tamils. |
