Pera Sir

Jaffna got lesser Z score than even Hambantota this year!! No need to compare with so-called 'superior' districts such as Galle.

Yes, in 1975, Jaffna was the highest!

Damayanthy posted some scores..I want to know those were from which year? and then I would like You to actually post the scores from 1975.

I want to compare and see how far Jaffna has gone down..

Sorry, I have Good news and Bad News for you....

Bad News - Those fellows you loaned out your skeleton returned it minus the appendage.

Good News - Your appendage is now exhibited in the Museum of Paleontology, HK, next to Brontosaurus.

Isn't it hilarious what Wijedasa Rajapakse has done? He is in the parliament not by popular vote and what provisions does he have to go to the opposition as a MP appointed from the SLFP-National List? If he is not happy with what the government/ SLFP does, he has just to leave it and go home as he doesn't have to account for any voters!

What an insensible procedure!

JHU dissident MP Ven. Uduwe Dhammaloka thera is slated to make an announcement today expressing his willingness to rejoin the JHU main fold, following several rounds of talks with JHU seniors.

When intelligentsia leaves, our party embraces murderers and rapists, says Dilan

(Lanka-e-News, November 15, 9.00 PM) Minister of Justice Dilan Perera writing a letter to the President today (15) says that he does not believe a party should fall to this unethical low just to win a budget.

He mentions this fact in a letter titled 'I will take a decision on my conscience' written to announce that he will resign from the SLFP Central Committee to object the President?s decision to take MP Mahinda Rathnathilaka to Government ranks.

He mentions in his letter that as a committed member hailing from a SLFP family he can no further be silent when the known killers of Nalanda Ellawala are taken into the Government. He says that he expressed his objection patiently when Susantha Punchinilame was taken to the Government. As a politician with a conscience I am depressed at the moment and believe Dallus Alahapperuma, another friend of late Nalanda Ellawala is also feeling the same.

He says that in a time renowned professionals, intelligentsia and progressive people like President's Counsel Wijedasa Rajapakse are leaving the Government, our party is bringing murderers and rapists. This will not strengthen the Government but will purify the UNP, he says. Dilan Perera further mentioned that he tolerated the injustices to himself and the people of Badulla district who elected him several occasions. However, he did not know how to stay idle at a time the party is deteriorating, he said.

He says in his letter to the President that no one could push him to the UNP and he would not join the traitors like Mangala Samaraweera and Sripathi Suriyaarachchi and betray the party. However he could not further put up with the actions that destroy the party as a member of the Central Committee, he wrote.
