Buddy, your politicians not only tried to corrupt upcountry Tamils like Thonda but also tried to corrupt TNA. But, TNA was adamant to reject all the Sinhalese baits.
the only reason TNA is not defecting en masse is because they are scared of big bad Velu! He got them by the balls, so to speak. |

Now.. heres the tally for this last week..
Senior Leaders Killed:
Kadir Neelan - In charge of Muhamali FDL's.
Kumudan - Trincomalee deputy area intelligence leader.
Pullawar Annan - LTTE heavy weapons expert.
Also.. Since the 10th of October to the 14th of November 2007.. The SL Army has ''RECOVERED'' -- the bodies of 81 fallen LTTE insurgents!!..
60 of these bodies have been handed over to the LTTE through the IRCR.. this statistic can be verified by contacting the ICRC office in Colombo..
Incidentally.. i wonder how many SLA bodies the LTTE can claim to have recovered in this period??.. Even in the recent Muhamali operation.. Did the LTTE recover any bodies??.. Why not if the SLA was routed and ran for their lives according to Mr. Irasaiah Ilanthirayan!!.. :O)) |

Sri Lanka abuse 'rampant' in Gulf
Tales of torture and abuse have emerged from the Gulf
Gulf states are failing to curb serious abuses of Sri Lankan migrant workers employed as maids in their countries, a Human Rights Watch report has said.
The US-based group says abuse of maids is rampant in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Lebanon.
Employers routinely confiscate domestic workers' passports and confine them to the workplace, the rights group says.
The UAE has denied the charges, saying Human Rights Watch has ignored its efforts to improve workers' conditions.
More than 660,000 Sri Lankan women work abroad as maids, nearly 90% of them in the Gulf countries.

| Jana , what I am saying might sound harsh, but for every piece of 'bad' news one hear about the maid abuses in the Mid east there are 100 'Happy' endings of women and men working happily, earning, putting their kids through school and sometimes University, building homes and living a better life. For every 'abusive' Mid Eastern employer there are 100 good people. I have once seen a Saudi Family wailing their eyes off, (Father included) to see their maid go away. I sat next to this woman on the flight back as I was working in Riyadh at the time and she said she was going on her 55 day vacation!! CAn you believe it? So, these news items sometimes never mention the happy parts. |

YES. Gen Sarath Fonseka is correct. LTTE can be defeated and this is the only way. What a waste of money earned by Tamil dispora in many countries just to buy weapons. The only one who won in this battle is the weapon dealers.
There is no other alternative for Prabhakaran than die like Hitler did during 2nd world war. |
