Sinhala state assassinated the Tamils' chief negotiator.
SPT may have been the designated political head/negotiator of the LTTE but did he ever do any negotiating? He only parroted what his leader said. He went to Geneva twice and walked away from the talks and used the opportunity to go around Europe to raise money. The LTTE wants nothing less than a separate state, so what are they negotiating for?
Let's also remember that SPT was in command of a terror unit at the time of his death, moved around with his own weapons and was in military fatigues. He was meeting with other military leaders of the LTTE to most likely plan another terror attack on the people of Sri Lanka.
The targeted killing last Friday of Mr. S. P. Tamilselvan, the LTTE's Chief Negotiator and the head of its Political Wing, along with five other LTTE officials, by the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF)
they were not OFFICIALS, they were military leaders planning attacks against the people of SL. |
