Aani,

IN Sri Lanka 'PARA DEMALA' is not a BAD word.

You know the ministers in the SL GOVT use that word very frequently.

@ Robins,
You dont need to tell me the reason why LTTE came in to the picture. I am sure I am old enough to have seen it with my own eyes how LTTE came in to being :-)))

LTTE is something which went out of control. The Indian IA was the spark to the whole issue. They never dreamt that VP will pull the show out of their hands.

In each part of the world the minorities have to face problems, this is the nature of the developing world. And the humans. If each and every minority take up arms I wonder what kind of a world it would be.

And further more there is no point talking about who did what and who did wrong, and when......These kinds of discussions are not going to bring us to the solution. WE need to be open toward discussions and need to find a acceptable solution to the Tamil Minority and to the rest of the minorities.

Something like 1,7 Millions Tamils cant decide the fate of of a whole nation.

You ar missing the point!

Looking forward, lets assume LTTE is weakened or defeated, do you honestly believe the Sinhala gvt will deal with the Tamil issues? Even the Aell party group has not reached any solution!! What is stopping the sinhala gvt to put a proposal out in the open ! If the proposal is reasonable even today there will be support from Tamils! Why cant that happen?

if the GOSL wants to succeed in weakening the LTTE in the field, they need to get closer to the ordinary Tamils.

Obviously the GOSL is well and truly heading in the right path by bombing orphanages, abducting and torturing Tamil people at will in the open prison that is all the major Tamil cities, deporting those in temporary accomodation in Colombo and denying transport of food and medicine along the A-9.

I nominate yours for stupid comment of the week :)

We have to guarantee a fair part of the political system for the minority Tamils, but this can only be done by weakening LTTE in the battlefield. And this is what the International community has realized.

GUJARATI FEmale PResident of India is talking ALWAYS about GUJARATIs, and MANAMOHAN SINGH Indian Prime Minister ALWAYS talking about SIKH NAtionalism and KHALISTAN

OBAMA, the Black PResidential Candidate of the USA always talk about AMERICAN BLAck Nationalism.

Sri Lankan Tamil Politicians AnandaSangaree and Douglas Devananda Always talk About Sri Lankans and NOT ABOUT TAMils. IT IS THE SAME WITH OTHER TAMIL POLITICIANS SINCE 1910. THEY ALWAYS TALKED ABOUT SRI LANKA AND SRILANKANS AND NOT ABOUT TAMILS.

The present government is the most nationalist government that SL has seen in the last 40yrs. And the international community is worried about this as well.

Look like DIPLOMAT is ANTI - SINHALA.
