Living in a developed western country, you still speak like a FROG IN THE WELL. If you have not changed your attitude to respecting humans on their face value, You just don't deserve to be called a HUMAN BY WESTERN STANDARDS.
There is no categorization of people to assuming any stutus in the society by their profession or education, in the western world. It is good and cherished only in the developing/third world countries like Sri Lanka.
I would accept your statement ONLY IF YOU ARE LIVING IN SRI LANKA RIGHT NOW. Yet would like to teach you how the western world behaves as I have highlighted above.
Here we call even the Top Executive by his/her first name. We do not bend and curl into fifty before any Authority scratching our heads. Even a guy doing the meanest job will call you by your first name and will join you for a drink and dance.
Many immigrants cut their own childrens' and spouse' hair to save money. There are plenty of Educated, University Graduate sinhala Barbers living in the western world.
Learning is good.

Aint this is the truth Mr Fairplay? My dad used to cut my hair as a kid to save on a few quids. I guess that makes him a barber :) And then as a poor student, I often used the 'barber services' of fellow students to save a few greens myself. And now, as I contemplate fatherhood, I am thinking I better pick up the trade just in case things get a bit tight here and there. The moral of this story. We are all barbers :)

The IC knows that the GOSL won't respond to 'advices' or 'verbal prompts'.. action is needed.. sanctions are needed.. and this is where the IC fails miserably.
When LTTE invaded Mavilaru lst year, it didn?t need the IC. Now after losing the East and TC, it needs the IC to impose sanctions on GOSL! Doesn?t this indicate desperation on the part of LTTE?
While the GOSL continues to murder tamils in the thousands and makes hundreds of thousands destitute, the IC keeps giving 'condemnation' notices.. But does little to force the GOSL to follow international standards for basic human rights.
Dozens of UN Security Council Resolutions have been passed against Israel over the past 6 decades which have been rejected by Israel and neither the UN nor the IC has done anything to force implementation of those resolutions.
What the Tamils face in Sri Lanka, compared to what the Palestinians have been undergoing for the past 6 decades, is mere pinpricks. Just a few examples of what happens even today in just one town in Palestine.
Hebron is a Palestinian city within the West Bank, where Jewish settlements are built up within the city center. 800 settlers and the same amount of soldiers and border police are placed into the middle of 166,000 Palestinians.
The Palestinian population in Hebron suffers from attacks by radical settlers nearly every day! Settlers beat up Palestinians frequently, they destroy their property, they block their passage and they throw stones and bottles at the Palestinians all the meanwhile, security forces are witnessing these attacks without much of an attempt to stop the settlers! ! Radical settlers commit crimes and the border police ? who are in charge of them ? have ?difficulties? to stop them.
In order to ?secure? the 800 settlers, the lives of thousands of Palestinians is made unbearable: At the market place, shops are closed by military order Palestinians are prohibited to drive cars within the city center and even walk on certain streets. To do their shopping, Palestinians climb over the roof tops until they reach an area where they are allowed to walk on the streets again.
Because of the Apartheid Wall, Palestinian farmers are not only cut off from their homes, but also to their farm lands. Between 75 to 90 % of the fertile farm land is on the Israeli western side of the wall and in order to work their fields on the other side of the fence, farmers have to obtain permission to pass through checkpoints. A farmer?s family members, like wife or father are refused permission to work in the farm and no reason is given for such refusal.
Reports were circulated throughout the internet that settlers have been known to pick olives from Palestinian trees, block the passage to their land or even beat them up.

Israel and Jews are Dollar billioniers.....but Sinhala Modayas are International beggars & crooks.....unfortunately modayas fail to understand or realize these facts and compare them with Israel...
Sinhalaya try to adhere to International law only when it suites Sinhalaya's Terrorist activities otherwise just ignore International law like Humanrights violations and war crimes in Sri Lanka by Sinhala GOSL..continue lankan Tamils killing ....this statergy of Sinhalaya will not work for a long time.......sin aney

What chances LTTE has in fighting a determined well-armed all new SLDF... fully backed by GOSL and people?
The days of the LTTE are numbered... get ready to hear some desperate attacks by the LTTE, rhetoric and then total surrender or defeat.
OK Vinisingh, please wake up and smell the coffee, day dreaming is bad for your health. Did you hear that every hospital in the Colombo area was so busy yesterday with the injured soldiers from Muhamalai?
Mahinda mama wanted to direct the attention away from the budget and tried to pull yarn over the eyes of Sinhala punnaakku eaters, but the whole thing backfired so badly 60 out of hundred injured soldiers are with life threatening injuries in Colombo hospitals.
All I am saying is that there won?t be any victory celebration like Kudumpimalai you will face a real fight and the Sinhala Veera Soorayas are going to run faster than they ran in Aaanai Iravu(Elephant Pass).
Always remember that trespassers of Tamil Homeland will be shot like stray dogs and survivors will be shot again.
