Just few days after LTTE Ellalan visit to Air Base Keheliya declared only two air crafts were damaged then Sri Lanka Prime minister declared in Parliament that only eight air crafts were destroyed by LTTE in Anurathapuram......but yesterday Police authorities in Anurathpuram magistrate courts declared that ten air crafts have been destroyed and sixteen damaged.........Now the entire world knows what ever said by Lankan Prime Minister (joker holding a responsible position in Sri Lanka) and other GOSL ministers about war and other issues are false or incorrect....pathetic state of affairs in Sri Lanka

Not a single LTTE member has accepted that they have done any crime, so we can't expect different from Shanthan. Even after Indian Court decided that LTTE killed the former Indian PM Rajiv Ghandi still LTTE denie it. LTTE is a cancer to Sri Lanka as well as to the world. Now all most all LTTE supporters know that Ealam is a dream which will never come true. Just imagine how mant Tamil youths sacrified their lives for this stupid war.

But the entire world witnessed on TV how a Sinhala terrorist made an attempt to kill Rajiv Ghandi when he was on a official visit to Sri Lanka as guest of GOSL....never ever in any part of the world a goverment guest getts hammered by the government forces when on official visit to a country......so you modaya fellows do not worry about rajiv getting killed in India after killing many Lankan tamils with IPKF in sri lanka.....Indira Ghandi, mahathma ghandi all got killed in India....Political killings are common in India......So do not make an issue saying LTTE killed rajive which has not been proven yet....after some time Moda Sinhalayas will say even Indira Ghandi, mahathma ghandi were also killed by LTTE........hah hah haaaaa

Puli:

For your information, the sailor who tried to assault Rajiv was tried and jailed. True that he was treated like a hero by some. But, he did serve his time. That whole episode was not orchestrated by the govt and it was just an individual.

PULI, Rajiv Ghandi was killed by Martinians from Mars. LTTE would never even think of such a dreadful act. Damm those martinians.

But I wonder why Anton would say something like this:

'As far as that event is concerned, I would say it is a great tragedy, a monumental historical tragedy for which we deeply regret and we call upon the government of India and people of India to be magnanimous to put the past behind and to approach the ethnic question in a different perspective,'

- RIP former chief rebel negotiator Anton Balasingham

Political killings are common in India......So do not make an issue saying LTTE killed rajive which has not been proven yet....

ignorance is bliss! PULI lives in peelam, does anything to whitewash LTTE :):) lol

denial..denial.. :) lol

As per the Indian Supreme Court judgement, by Judge Thomas, the killing was carried out due to personal animosity of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) chief Prabhakaran towards Mr Rajiv Gandhi arising out of his sending the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) to Sri Lanka and the alleged IPKF atrocities against Tamils. The judgement further cites the death of Thileepan in a hunger strike and the suicide by 12 LTTE cadres in a vessel in Oct 1987.

In the Jain Commission report, various people and agencies are named as suspected of having been involved in the murder of Rajiv Gandhi. Among them, the cleric Chandraswami was suspected of involvement, including financing the assassination. The interim report of the Jain Commission created a storm when it accused Karunanidhi and the Tamils of a role in the assassination, leading to Congress withdrawing its support for the I. K. Gujral government and fresh elections in 1998. LTTE spokesman Anton Balasingham told the Indian television channel NDTV that the killing was a 'great tragedy, a monumental historical tragedy which we deeply regret.'
