Nadesan appointed new Political Head of the LTTE

TamilNet, Friday, 02 November 2007, 16:10 GMT

Liberation Tigers of Tamileelam (LTTE) leader V. Pirapaharan has appointed P. Nadesan as the new Political Head following the demise of Brigadier S.P. Thamilchelvan, according to Irasiah Ilanthiryan, LTTE's military spokesman.

Mr Nadesan, who is currently in charge of Tamileelam Police, will be in charge of the two departments from now on, Ilanthirayan said.

The LTTE spokesman described the aerial attack by the Sri Lanka Air Force on Thamilchelvan's residence, a cowardly assassination.

Dear LTTE brothers,
Please stop this war at least now, you can live with Sinhalese peacefully as 80% of tamils already doing..

for 1983 action you take the revenge from JR, not from innocent sinhalese.. I know my parents didnt kill or harm any tamils.. Similarly majority of sinhalese didnt harm Tamils, except for JR's Thugs.

Also keep in mind that even that thing happened after the killings by Pirabha..

What im syaing is neither present gov. or Sinhalese should be the victims of your revenge..

	I earlier predicted that most of ltte leaders would die along with Thamilchelvan by this Janauary.Mahinda has done right thing by destroying ltte peace negotiator.This will keep ltte out of peace tlaks.Mahinda's main aim is to keep ltte away from political negotiation.Then war will destroy entire ltte movement. Congratulations to Mahinda.

Each and everyone in the LTTE are willing to sacrifice themselves for Tamil Eelam and that is the oath they took. There are enough Tamilselvans to fill the vacuum left by Tamilselavn.

In a way it is a good development, now on the LTTE can start eliminating the Sinhala leadership from Grama sevakas to the President and no one can condemn them.
Let the game begin!

My heart felt tribute to Tamilselvan for serving Tamil Eelam and her people, but my question is How Prabhakaran is going to retaliate against the Sinhala Nazis.

This is the final of another terrorist. Others must understand in the civilized society you have no room for terrorism. If you have reasonable greivances you must negotiate with the relevant authorities. What LTTE earned after fighting 25 yaers with SL Government?. Nothing. How much they spent and how many lives were sacrified. At least they have not achieve anything other than terrorist lable from international community. Many Tamils living in foreign countries know that LTTE will never achieve their goals but unless LTTE is militarily defeated and eradicated from the world they have to keep funding LTTE because otherwise their lives are in danger.
SP Tamilchelvam was better than P Nadesan who may be appointed as the leader of the political wing of LTTE. Nadesan has served as a police constable in Sri Lanka police. Everybody knows the calibre of a PC in Sri Lanka and therefore Nadesan has a better chance (LTTE prefers uneducated brutally people) of succedding Tamilchelvam.
It is now clear LTTE won't survive under MR regime unless they destroy MR family.
However, this may be a good news to UNP leadership as they can contest for the Tamilchelvam's vacancy. Three most suitable candidates from UNP are Ranil Wicremasinghe, Laxman Seneviratna and Jayalath Jayawardena. Can Ranil keep both UNP leadership and LTTE political wing leadership?
