I wonder what the FMM now says about the SC ruling to nyllify the ABC broadcasting lisence..
Let this be a good ear-boxing for other media hawks that try to belittle the sovereignty and internal security of Sri Lanka..
Long live the Judiciary!!

General Sarath Fonseka and the men and women he is leading are fighting a winnable war against the LTTE..They are systematic, amidst a few down moments, and determined to crush the Tigers in its own back yard..
Now the threat to that campaign is not seemingly from the LTTE military arm...
It is from the LTTE-led, cajoled fronts like the UNP, FMM, Media Without Frontiers, Human Rights DOGS and SLMM..
The GOSL is containing them like no other GOSL in the past have done..
A little more distance to go..

Ok..for all the LTTE diaspora who bark at the LNP forum that the LTTE is not intimidating them to raise money...
Read this AP news article and think again..
But the bulk of their money comes from large and lucrative communities of Tamils abroad more than 200,000 in Canada, about 110,000 in Britain, others in Western Europe, Australia and the United States. Some donate willingly.
''Others have to be convinced,'' said a former Tiger who worked in London as a fundraiser.
The preferred method of persuasion, he said, is threats aimed either directly at the unwilling donor or at relatives back in Sri Lanka - , which is ''always the easiest because they knew we were the law at home.''
If threats fail ''very rare'' then ''maybe we would beat him. Or if he had a shop, we could smash it.''
The former Tiger, who would not discuss why he left the group, spoke anonymously because he feared retribution and because it is a crime in Britain to raise money for a terrorist group. Reports from activists such as Human Rights Watch detail dozens of cases of Tamils in London and Toronto being forced to donate.

Ahmadin:
Canada has a very sophisticated LTTE business network.
JEWs give money and resources to it's new immigrants to begins business and once those who got help become successful they in turn help others. SO, that is web like net work.
LTTE began that too. but they collected some percentage out of that business.

Tigers provide the propellant to take the Tamils forward. It is understandable that they take a cut.
Sinhalese do not have such support. So, they are obviously jealous! |

AHmadineja:
FYI, as of yesterday's noon, the LTTE Mannar FDL is nothing but big holes in the ground with dead bodies of LTTE cardres..completely overrun by the SLDF.
Man, I can't believe you speak like you were right there there!
If those stories are correct, wonder why SLA is still bogged down in Mannar, Vavnia, and Muhamalai?

Anud,
I have a few friends of mine who are in Canada. They left Sri Lanka after the Black July. Yet they are vehemently against the LTTE and VP. For all what I know, these tamil friends have a resolve. They don't pay the LTTE. But they tell me that since the LTTE has a sophisticated system of draining money out of your credit accounts, they even do not know whether they themseles are secretly scamed..
That is the truth.
